Not than I can attest to much, but if your idea of some serioius fun-in-the-sun with your feet in the sand includes panoramic Atlantic ocean vistas, warm salty breezes well seasoned with scents of coconut oil, sounds of crashing surf accented by gleeful laughter, conversing with a diversity of folks hailing from all corners of the planet, and partying with 100's just like you, then this is your kinda place.

I loved it! So much so that although residing on Key Largo, I'd drive 1.5 hours roundtrip every Saturday, Sunday + every other available day off I could get. Got the very best tan of my life there.
My fiancee and I live in the Fort Lauderdale area. We go to Haulover Beach several times every month on the weekends.
Haulover is a very nice beach. It is secluded from the road by a Miami-Dade County Park. A section of the beach about 1/2 mile long is specifically fenced off and there are signs indicating it is clothing optional. The signs actually state "WARNING, beyond this sign you may encounter nude bathers" ! Oh my gosh, watch out! How horrible to encounter a nude body.

Anyway, it is a beautiful beach for sunning, swimming, and playing nude or clothed volley ball. It is policed by volunteers from South Florida Free Beaches who keep people's behavior to AANR standards.
Unfortunately, there are some weirdos and a few perverts, especially around sundown. It is located in Miami after all. However, it is very safe, and there are a lot of nice people.

There is a concession stand which sells burgers, hot dogs, BEER and soft drinks. You can bring your own coolers with beer, wine whatever, just NO GLASS. (THis despite the signs that say no alcohol, because they have an approved concession stand that sells beer. Also, there is a chair and umbrella rental company, but rental chairs are usually taken away around 4pm.
There is a basic but clean motel within walking distance called Ocean Palm Motel 305-947-5671.

visit the South Florida Free Beaches website for more info and driving directions. Email me before you go, and Cindy and I might be able to meet you there and show you around. It is C/O,not just nude, and is a public beach, so you will see some gawkers walking through. We have made friends and have a group camp that is kind of "walled off" and keeps away the weirdos, gawkers etc. No one ever bothers us. If you are sitting by yourself, as a woman, you might have to tell a weirdo to GO AWAY, but usually not a big problem.

There are nude showers, but you do have to get dressed to go up to the bathrooms, which are part of the county park. Bummer. All in all it is a great beach and great fun, great experiences.

Great accounting Diver, and to yours I'll add this.

Haulover is a sanctioned clothing optional public beach owned & maintained by Miami as a part of their parks department. Police cruisers patrol the broadwalk where the concessionaires are which just happens to be the buffer between the beach & the main road. The sand is patrolled by boys in blue atop ATV's and the 4 or so lifeguard towers are staffed by Baywatch-like lifeguards. There's sufficent parking for a nominal fee on the west side of the road. The website detailing all of this is South Florida Free Beaches (SFFB.com)

During my previous visits, it seemed that males preferring males gravitated towards the north end, females preferring females to the south, & all others including families 3 generations deep centrally located between the fence lines.
LD,
thanks for the additional input. I should have put S. Fla Free Beaches website on my post, but glad you did it. LD is correct that in addition to the volunteer "Beach Patrol Ambassadors" the Miami Police regularly patrol the beach driving on 4 wheel drive vehicles on the sand. Parking across the street is only $5 per day.
Come visit, you will enjoy.
Haulover is the magnet that draws me away from the doldrums of a Michigan winter
Haulover is one of the nicest beaches in Florida. The fact it is nude makes it even better. It is real clean with great access.
