July 10th Canude/Kyak trip
| Is anyone interested in joining Travelites for their annual canude trip on the Lumber river on Saturday, July 11th. We leave Whispering Pines about 10:45 and put in near Nichols, about an hr. away at 11:45. We'll be stopping several times for lunch as well as to break our record for Guinness at 3pm Eastern Nudist time. Email me at cheridonna@prodigy.net or post here. | |
| It really would be great if others would join Travelites, North Carolina Naturists, and Triangle Area Naturists for this fun event. | |
| 2010's annual canude trip will be on Saturday, July 10th and we'll be taking part in the attempt to break last year's record setting event for the Guinness World Book. | |
| I'm interested but too far out here in California to get the time off. | |
| I would love to try to make the 2010 event! Do they supply the canoes or kayaks? I don't have one yet.. Is there a web site or anything for the event yet? | |
| We can rent you a canoe at $30/person and it includes a 3lb. deli sandwich. You would have to email me for the registration form to be returned/received no later than June 30th along with the money. My email address is cheridonna@prodigy.net or you can send it to travelites@prodigy.net that is forwarded to me. It's an easy 7 mile float. Most meet at Whispering Pines on Friday and use it as our staging area. We put in the river in Nichols, SC (about an hr. from the park). We depart the park at 10:45 with a first stop at noon for lunch and skinnydipping. We will stop several more times including @ 2:30 to get ready for the photos for the Guinness World Book event. | |
| Hey Cheri, I'm still wanting to try to make this float this year if I can swing it. I will know more a couple weeks into June so I can get the form from you and get the money to you by the 30th. How many people do you have going so far? Is this float a full nude float? | |
| There are about 15 so far, but as we get closer to the middle of June, usually all the canoe rentals are grabbed up. | |
| Plan similar for So CA area or No CA? Redwoods forest area? Darn. | |
| Tarzan, So, Cal sounds good to me. I would have to come up with a canoe or a kayak, though. John | |
| Even though AANR isn't doing the Skinnydip this year, Travelites will again (our 16th year) have our canude/kyak trip - July 9th is the date. I will gladly email anyone the registration form. Give me a shout. |
