Well if you travel a lot like I do there is nothing better than getting back to your room and getting your gear off and relaxing. I do it in every country I travel too. The hardest thing of course is trying to locate any nude facilities especially in Asia.

Interested in anyone stories on there nude in motel experiences and what people do when they visit a foreign country and want to get nude somewhere...

Like most nudists...we are nude at home and anywhere we travel to...such as a motel, hotel or nude venue.

Most of our travels are for pleasure so...we always find a nude venue to visit if we are not staying there or there are no accomodations, such as a beach, lake or river.

For instance. We vacationed quite a bit in Laughlin, NV. We always found coves where we could anchor the boat or Seadoo's and enjoy the day naked. After getting back to the hotel room. We immediately stripped and stayed that way until we left the room. I think most nudists do that anyway!

I think the vast majority of us are nude anytime we can be....wherever we can.

If I am traveling, the motel room is home, temporarily. In the room, naked.

If you are inside the room why would you keep your clothes on? Unless of course the window is jammed open and there is a blizzard outside.

You mean people actually buy and bring clothes to change into when they are alone in a hotel room? Seems wasteful and eccentric.

whenever I travel, I always try to stay a nudist or at clothing optional resort or hotel. If not, I am nude the second the door closes. The same as at home.

My husband and I were thinking about making our home a nudist bed and breakfast. When we bought the home we were raising 3 grandkids and now it is just the two of us in a 6 bedroom 4 bath home. We are nude most of the time when we are here, right now we are plumbers and I'm the only female plumber in Muskogee, OK. Tring to decide if I want to stay home and make the house a home to more than 2 nudists. What do you think???

Plungr lok go for it. In this economy need to make your own job. Why not do what you love to do. Hope you can get the permits etc to open your place. Sounds like a wonderful idea.

I am always naked in hotel rooms! I saved a lot of space for souvenirs when I went to London by not bothering with any night clothes at all. It was easy as I did not have to share space with a younger student. If I am sharing a hotel room with my current room mate, neither of us bothers to dress. I would love to have nudist accommodations when on the road!Go for it, Plumrgrlok!

Thank you for all your input. Right now we don't have a pool or hot tub but we do have a shower on the back deck and T.V. with cable connection. We also have a stocked pond for fishing. Will look into what permits might be needed. Thanks again and thanks for adding me to the group.

About 10 yrs ago I stayed at a BW in IA and at 2am back was bothering me so looked out window and saw people in the pool but window was foged. I put on the suit hoping for a dip in the hot-tub. When I went in the entire room was very foggy so I slipped in the HT. Another young couple left theother end and got out naked. I could hear other young people and realized the manager let in some young friends. I slipped off the shorts and swam for an hr. I met two girls and a guy later in the HT, they said they do this once a month. Never got to enjoy that again.

Always nude in hotel rooms here in the U.S. and with no problems coming and going with maids. Just put the dnd sign out and bolt the door. The only place I had difficulties was in Japan staying in a friends home unexpectedly. I was expected to put on jammies. I'm a large man and nothing of theirs fit. So had to make do. Youth Hostels in Japan are a little bit easier so I'd slip out of my skivvies under the futon and no one was the wiser. In the morning with showering it was easier as they are segregated and all guys were naked anyway.

Nude is the ONLY way to go. Working as a Security Oficer in a major Las Vegas hotel/casino, we get the occasional report of someone nude or near-nude outside their room because the door closed behind them.

Also, there are the chance encounters bu guest room attendants (maids) confronted by perverts who flash them or make crude remarks.

Mostly, though, I believe it's innocent mistakes or misunderstandings.

Of course, I conduct my appropriately but want to be clothes-free as much as possible.

Yap, on many occasions when entering a motel, hotel or whatever, I have shed the clothes. I recall staying at the Banning House on Catalina Island. The first thing we did was loose the clothes. We are getting ready to go on a cruise this summer and we will definitely be nude in the state room and on the veranda reading and relaxing.

Years ago, we were going to spend a weekend at Solair (in Connecticut), and stayed overnight in Sturbridge, Mass. It seemed everyone else went to bed by 9:30, so we spent an hour or so nude in the hotel pool. No one caught us.

And I'm with Windsailor on the subject of sitting nude on the balcony while on a cruise. Even on textile cruises, I'm always out there nude. People occasionally peek around the partition, but no one has ever complained. I have met people who had a neighbor complain, but the ship staff informed them that it was a private balcony, and they shouldn't be snooping on someone else's space.

Great answer on the part of the ship's staff. If I ever do another cruise (did one a few years back and had a headache throughout - unknown to me, I was seasick though not at all nauseous), I want to do it nude, whether the cruise is a designated nude cruise or not. Of course, I'm referring only to privatte areas during a non-nude cruise.

I went to London for 2 weeks a few years ago and I paid a bit extra to not share a room with a fellow student. My room was small, but it was the nude zone...
Sleep nude at home, too

Well as someone that is on travel right now, Huntsville Al for a month, I strip down as soon as I get "home" and stay that way till the morning. We have shared rooms with a male nudist friend and no clothes either.. Can't sleep good with clothes on.. It was really funny when Amy had to go in for a sleep study, the guy could tell she was not used to sleeping dressed

Since I work at home it really is tough to have to throw on clothes to go some place...I truely dislike it and tend to hurry through my errands as quickly as possible so I can get back home and get out of my clothes...sleeping nude is the only way to sleep...I can not imagine being encumbered by clothes while trying to sleep...

During my wife's and my visit to Mt. Charleston just outside Las Vegas in early February, I stripped off my clothing as soon as we got into the room and only slipped on my robe to go down the hallway to our couple's massage. My wife kept on her thong panties beneath her robe and during the massage.

I only dressed when we went to dinner and the next morning for breakfast and check-out.

I will NEVER again wear clthing in a hotel/motel room, or while visiting friends in the privacy of the bedroom.

I really hate wearing clothing and avoid them as much as possible.

Like everyone else the clothes come off when I get to my motel room. But there is one motel that I stay at that the night clerk will let me go skinny dipping in the indoor pool after hours. And boy does it feel good, it's nicely heated.

You're so lucky, NakedC. I'd love to find such a place. Of course, I'd have to contend with my wife's objections.

The last time I stayed at a hotel - I was naked and had my head phones on, did not hear house keeping knock on the door. She came in because no one answered the door. Well to say the least it startled both of us. Before she excused herself, she did say she walks in on many people, either naked or even doing it. She is used to it.

I was in China back in the 90's and the college campus guest house we were staying at was very nice but they had odd ideas (by western standards) of housekeeping. A maid would pop her head in once a day and spray something vaguely smelling like green tea out of an aerosol can and then leave.

Well, I did not actually find this out until one day after I'd eaten some dodgy street food and was not feeling well. While my wife was off at her conference I was just laying nude on the bed and hating life. :) In my brain haze I heard the door open (no knocking!) and the maid came in and walked around doing her little spray routine and walked out...a little wide-eyed...without saying anything. I was too sluggy and surprised to think to cover myself.

I wonder what stories she told to her friends about the strange naked Americans. :)

When not staying with friends or family, I am usually nude and they expect and accept it. At the Hotel/Motel it is Home, as far as I think. I rent the room for my comfort, and that is, of course, naked. I did have one desk clerk call up while i was reading naked on the bed and ask me to close the shades better on my third floor room. WTH?

TxBiker, I didn't quite understand your comment about family and freinds. Di you say you are or are not nude when visiting them?

My wife and will be visiting my mother next month. I WILL sleep nude but don't expect much more oportunity to go sans clothing while there. (Wow, what a looong week it'll be to have to wear clothing so much unless I hear I don't have to).

Jim,
Most of my family has the same attitude towards textiles as I do. The few who prefer being clothed don't object to my nudity. Most of my friends either join me, or make their preferences known, which I respect. Perhaps "Mom" may be of a curious nature, and you and your wife could bring her over to the naturist way of thinking? It wouldn't hurt to ask, after all there are only two possible answers for any question. There is of course, the option of the least amount of textile possible, smallclothes work as well as a minimal bathing suit.

I plan to wear minimal clothing. Unfortunately, my wife hasn't chosen to live as a nudist yet and very well probably never will so I can't expect her support in the matter.

When we book hotel or motel rooms...it's always with the intent to be nude in them. I like being up high in hotels so we can open the windows and drapes and be nude and not be seen.

When we stay in motels, I always scope out the place while checking in and ask for specific rooms with views and no view in our room. Sometimes it's not possible but either way...we still are nude all the time in our rooms even if we have to keep the drapes pulled.

The only way to be, FireProf. During mine and my wife's last visit to the Mt. Charleston Inn near Las Vegas for our 38th wedding anniversary I was naked full-time in the room, on the ground floor facing the parking lot so the drapes had to be kept closed. When we went for our massages at the end of the hall I only wore my robe as cover and was nude under the drape during the massage. I only dressed to go to dinner and got naked as soon as we returned to the room.
