back yard Nudism
| have a pool in the back yard and a high fence..so I am nude most of the time in my backyard | |
| The reason Suzanne and I chose our home in Naples, Florida (after being shown 59 others) is that it has a half-acre back garden bordered by tall hedges. The total privacy means we and our visitors can sunbathe nude almost anywhere on our property. We also skinydip daily in our small heated pool. The year-round mild climate of southwest Florida's Gulf Coast region permits us and our visitors to enjoy outdoor nude social recreation even in the middle of winter. It also lets me keep some of my massage tables outdoors, where I give visitors free nude massages. If you bring along a male or female friend, I can teach both of you how to massage each other, either indoors or outdoors. Suzanne and I love meeting other nudists, so please write to tell us when you'll be in the area. Then you can be invited for a small clothing-optional house party, garden party, pool party, or free nude massage session. We look forward to hearing from you soon. | |
| Thanks for the add. I love being able to hang out in my new private area and nude tan. We are creating this area as a c/o area but hope to be able to enjoy it Clothes Free as much as possible. | |
| Only a small area of our back deck is private but I enjoy some sun most nice days. Today is one Maxx | |
| If you have 4X4 post on each corner of your deck, buy several 4X8 privacy lattice sheets with frames, attach 4X8 lengths of canvas paint tarps to one side of each frame and attach to posts. Have the lattice side out and the canvas side in for appearance. The lattices generally are redwood so the appearance is nice. | |
| Oh yes, have a nice little 18 x 35 foot patio off my townhouse. Nice little garden and I can be nude there all day everywhere in it. Have my chase for relaxing, chairs for guests too, a canopy to keep the rain off in the sumer time. Resort lighting in a small way for a bit of glow at night, add a glass of wine and I'm there!!!! | |
| Just started, regularly, this summer while working in the backyard to re-landscape. But, all of my backyard is my outside playground. Homes in Las Vegas tend to have 6-foot high cinderblock walls around the backyard, ensuring enough privacy only a couple of neighbors might be able to see me partime. Unfortunately, my beautiful wife nor daughter (who doesn't live with us) have chosen to join me outdoors. But, I'll keep trying. Jim | |
| We had a 6' privacy fence added and some tall shrubs planted to hide some of our yard. A few patio umbrellas and the yard is about 75% private. I have more to do but I have been able to BBQ, swim in the new pool and just relax nude during the day. | |
| I was finally able to get the wife to join me for a midnight swim the other night. She did go nude so slowly she is joining me. | |
| First and foremost ... congrats on getting the wife to join you in some skinny dippin'. The trick is to not push and they'll come around at their own pace. We've traveled outside the state and into the mid-west and east coast. For Southern Californians, it's different, seeing all the areas, states, communities where the residential areas don't have fences or walls so that you have privacy in your back yard. We've watched that show, House Hunters and also seen the non-private backyards in many of the cities and towns people live in or are buying a home. For us here, we are very, very property line driven, have bounderies and most of all, want our privacy. What I don't understand is that when these homes are built and I realize they are built a certain way to make money for the developer ... they leave little in terms of privacy. Short fences (5'), short block walls (less than 6') and homes right next to each other with windows looking down on each others backyards. That's not providing privacy. We are uncertain what and where we will end up when my wife retires. We've joked about a high rise condo in downtown San Diego with a view of the bay. With that, we'd probably rent and buy a place at our nude club and use that when we need to have more room to roam naked besides our 1500 sq ft. condo. It would be nice to stay here but with the current privacy, the homeowners association and the size of this home ... it doesn't seem like a financially good idea. I enjoy our home but sure am envious of many here that have acreage and can be naked all the time with neighbors close by but not right on top of you. :) | |
| Fireprof, you are right on the money with your statement of not thinking about privacy when they build. And the rules about fence height with a 6 foot max makes it much harder for that privacy. And build houses as close together as you can get them so there can be more homes in the given size development. I have long dreamed about an acreage that I can be free to be naked all the time if I want to. Plus make a nice wilderness hiking trails and or biking trails on the area. Dream yes and the reality of it probably not going happen on fire department salary and no chance of upward movement in the ladder. Enough bitching from me. Great points Fireprof!! :( | |
| Having traveled around while in the military I can certainly vouch for the lack of privacy in many neighborhoods. Privacy fences are not common in Florida, Virginia, Michigan, or Texas. When we were in Texas we had a wood slat privacy fence around the backyard with zero property line so that each neighbor's yard butted against the house on one side - no real privacy at all. When we lived off-base in Moreno valley, California there was a wooden slat privacy fence which didn't provide a great deal of privacy but fortunately, there were no two-story houses in the neighborhood so I began to practice full-nude sunbathing there. When we moved on-base there was no privacy at all, even living in a duplex with shared carport between the units. So, I just covered as little as possible without violating any laws or regulations, though I never felt really comfortable (I'd done the same while in the Phillippines where I never had any issues though surrounded by neighbors on-base). We never had any privacy in the other locations we were stationed. We finally gained real semi-privacy when we moved into our home here in Las Vegas. We have a cinder block wall which is a bit less than six feet tall. Neighbors on one side can likely see into our backyard from their second story window in one area. The man is also over six feet tall and can easily peer into my yard anytime without effort. The other neighbor's house is single story. Then, we have houses behind and to the south of us on a higher elevation which no doubt can look down into our yard from their second story windows and/or balcony. Personally, I've never worried about anyone of the neighbors being able to look into my back yard and seeing me nude. I figure if they don't want to see me nude then they can look elsewhere. Unfortunately, my wife does not have the same attitude and expects me to stay covered when subathing. I do when she's home but will sunbathe fully nude every chance I get. Jim | |
| We don’t have a backyard, we live in a condo. But we do have a very private deck on the third floor of our unit. When the weather is nice, we can lounge around and work on our all over tans! | |
| When we found the place we lucked out. There are some high windows in the neighbors homes but there are trees and shrubs that do a lot of view blocking. I plan to build a deck for the pool that will block some more. With these temps I've been in the pool quite a bit. | |
| My home situation has changed to the positive. I do have roll-up sunscreens, but my neighbors on the left know hat I'm a nudist and don't care if I'm out nude. Neighbors on the right only have one window that looks down on my yard and it always has closed blinds. They do know that I'm a nudist also. | |
| Our previous "next door" neighbor sold his home to others, so we now have "new" neighbors. They seem nice but we've not met them yet ... sad, I know! For over 38 years of owning 3 homes and being naked in the backyards of all of them ... I can honestly say that none of our neighbors have had an issue with our nudity. Our last neighbor ... stood at the fence several times with me and talked for 15-20 mins at a time, me naked and him not caring. Maybe it helped that he was a minister! LOL This afternoon, the outside temp in our city is ... HOT! I decided to give a few of our trees a little extra water. I've been moving the garden hose from tree to tree and our neighbors across the street saw me do this while I was naked. I truly believe because I just go about my business and don't flaunt my nudity "in their faces", they don't care about it or concern themselves with it. I think that neighbors who have a view of their neighbors backyards need to understand that they may encounter things back there that they may not agree with but unless it's lewd, dangerous or illegal ... they should either refrain from looking into their neighbors yards or close the blinds. I know our new neighbors have seen us naked in the backyard. They just closed the shutters on the only window with a view of our yard. Either they are embarrassed, disgusted or ... giving us the privacy we deserve! ;) |
