During the past year I had a roommate and on occasions we would have discussions about my nudist activities. She would incurage me to go to the resort. This would allow her to have time at the house by herself.
There were times she would question my activities or bring up discussions about the morality of it. One time she said that it is written in the bible that children should not see the nakedness of their mother. She could not tell me where I could find this verse so I am asking if anyone knows where this is written. I know if I could read this for myself I could get what it was in reference to

 " 7The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness." Leviticus 18:7 (KJV translation).

This is really just an excuse people use though to try to avoid actually looking at the passages in context. It seems pretty clear to me, if you look at other passages, even in the KJV, of what they are talking about:

"11And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Lev. 20:11 (KJV)

The sin here isn't an exposure to nudity, it's sex.

And one could combat that passage by talking about Isaiah 20, where God commanded Isaiah to go nude for 3 years straight. If showing off nudity was a sin, God would not command it, because God can't command sin.

 Oh, and don't forget the story of Noah getting drunk and naked, and his son Ham coming into the tent (Genesis 9:19-27). This story would probably be used more often. The problem with this story is it says that Noah's son did something to Noah, which may mean he used him for some sort of sexual act. The story is rather ambiguous as to what went down. And as for Noah's other sons covering him up and not wanting to see him, a lot of people wouldn't want to see the condition a same sex parent was in after having been violated by a sex act. As well, one could easily bring up where in the world did Noah and his sons shower? Since this event was after the flood, probably in rivers. Therefore simply seeing each other nude, at least for men being separate from women, would most likely not have been an issue at all.
Now thai I have read the chapter involved I can tell the person was way off base. For if any nudist did that they would be asked to leave our vaforate resorts or beaches. One can be just as moral nude or clothed. As I rember a quote from Pope John Paul Its not the act of being nude rather what one does when nude.
The catholic church I go to, the sin in the garden is disobedience to god, not sex. the serpent said "surely you will not die, your eyes will be open and you will be like gods"
