| Describe what it feels like to you to be nude outdoors? - and- What is your most favorite thing to do when you are nude outdoors? | |
| I thought about this topic today because it was a exceptionally beautiful day here in TX (high 70s) and I was riding my bike (nude of course)feeling the warm sun and fresh air all over my body and it just felt so good that I just could not even fathom the thought of being any other way except totally nude. It was insanely wonderful. I was just wondering if you ever felt like I did today. Please share. | |
| Actually...yes, spent some time outside today in between painting our bedroom! Feels awesome...the sun and warm breezes all over my body. I feel...revitalized! I think since the skin is the largest organ of your body and needs to feel the warmth and breath...there's no better way for you to do that for your skin than to get outside and let it happen. Temps have been warm here in So Cal as well...upper 70's to low 80's where we live. It's cold in the house and I've gotta go outside to warm up! LOL Riding a bike nude would be awesome. I think I'll take my bike to Glen Eden sometime this week and ride it around and get back with a nude bike report by the end of the week! I sure envy your living in a nude club/resort environment...wish we could! FP :) | |
| I can relate to such feelings. It is when I am outside as a free being that I feel truly connected, humbled, and downright joyous. It's such a simple pleasure but really, it's more than that. It makes me feels that much closer to the earth I love and the inhabitants that dwell on this beautiful surface. Saying that, I cannot wait till it gets warm enough for me to go outside without freezing. It'll be wonderful. | |
| It's the feeling of your entire body being able to breathe freely. You don't perspire nearly as much, and it's easy to step under a shower and rinse off when you do, and nothing can beat the feeling of swimming in the nude, with no wet, clammy, and sometimes sandy suit making you miserable, and doing this with other like minded people gives one a feeling of community, and yes, even intimacy that has nothing to do with sex. I think it's the thought that we know something that the textiles don't, lol. | |

| I enjoy doing anything out door Au Natural so long as the weather is warm enough. I love to mow & garden & clean up in the outdoor shower. I like to swim & would be happy if I never had to ware a suit again. After swimming free there is nothing worst then a wet bathing suit. I like hiking. I haven't gone bike riding yet but I have my eye on this cool 3 wheeled bike so maybe this year I will. | |
| I misread SunBunny's original post & thought she actually was out riding her bike nude. In Texas, that would be brave. Riding nude is something I have enjoyed immensely, especially in a group of 500 relatively sane crazy people before Seattle's Fremont Solstice parade. I'm also hoping to help organize a World Naked Bike Ride for Houston, but it will have to be nearly-naked. Houston ain't Seattle (or Portland or San Francisco or even Burlington VT). | |
| I didn't actually get naked but did , for awhile until it got too cool, worked in only a pair of shorts while cleaning out the garage. Man, I would've loved to have been totally clothes-free. But, with the garage facing the street and a house directly across from me, plus a wife who is not a nudist, it's not possible. Later, once the landscapers finish my yard and the weather's warm enough, I'll definitely be naked in the backyard, though it's not nearly large enough for a bike ride, nude or not. I have said it before, SunBunny, I envy your living circumstances where nudity is the norm. Jim | |

Actually going for my morning bike ride again in a few minutes (nude of course) since it is another beautiful day here in Texas. I live in a nudist community, where nudity is the norm. My pic is now the header picture for this group. The focus of this group is share ideas, thoughts and experiences into making nude living a norm everywhere, not just with 500 insane people (just funnin'). Maybe next time you do a bike ride you can have a AANR or TNS flag somewhere on your bike to help pass the message. Thanks for the contribution. hugs, SB | |
| Swimming nude of course is great. Playing tennis nude, I will never play clothed again. The sweaty clothes, the binding, terrible, plus I need all the extra speed I can get. Haven't tried bike riding yet, but that is on the list. | |
| One of the reasons why people ask me why I'm a nudist I tell them that it feels so great being outdoors nude. I love hiking this way when I get the chance. Whether or not they chuckle or roll their eyes at that, I tell them give it a try sometime. Find a secluded area or beach and see what it's like to be without any thing on for five minutes. I'd bet they'd be convinced. | |

| The feeling is multifacited. Free of clothes and encumbrances. I feel closer to the texture of nature. There is a difference in feeling the sun and the breezes when your entire body can feel them all at the sametime. I love sailing nude on my 18' catamaran in the Gulf of Mexico. Just an amazing exileration. | |

| I spend the whole day nude inside the house and feel comfortable. Although I can't walk around in my backyard nude, the area around the back door is sheltered and I can step out without clothing. When I do it's amazing the difference in feelings. Although I'm nude in the house, it's not until I feel fresh air hit my skin that I realize I'm not wearing clothing. Another strange phenomenon is if I'm wearing flip-flops or not, inside or outdoors. With them I don't even realize I'm nude, but when I'm barefoot, I get this sense of freedom. I've been a practicing nudist/naturist for more than 25 years and these feelings are still there. | |

| I like the warmth of the sun and the breeze gently stroking my skin. I, and all my parts, can move freely. There is also the buzz of maybe getting caught. I garden, take photos, sunbathe and swim. I hope to go hiking. | |

| Nude sunbathing is fantastic. Earlier this week, for the first time this year, I sunbathed nude and was moved by the feel of the sun and breeze upon my entire nude body. What a feeling!! I have, so far, sunbathed about three evenings thisa week and am looking forward to more as the weather continues to warm up here in Las Vegas. I have gardened a bit in the nude. Last summer and fall, I slowly shed my clothes by working out of my shorts a bit at a time while digging up my backyard to prepare it for re-landscaping. The feeling was fantastic once I finally shed the shorts full-time. I even kicked off my shoes t every opportunity to feel totally free. I only wish my wife would accept my life choice and stop worrying about the neighbors discovering me nude in the backyard. Another great feeling is to drive nude, which I've done a few times. Since the car's enclosed I guess nude driving doesn't really qualify as outdoor nudity but, it's great to feel totally free. I'd love to do everything in the nude - fishing, boating, swimming, gardening, hiking, jogging, etc. without concerns others might be offended. Jim | |
| Last night I was naked when I took my dog out for his last walk. (He's a long haired chihuahua)and the other day when I was walking around the pond I took off my shorts and walked part of the way from the pond to my house naked. I waited until my neighbors across the street left. But it still felf good being naked outside. That's hard to do in Alabama. Well, I hope someone reads this and comments on it. Nobody ever seems to want to comment on anything I write. I'm beginning to feel ignored. | |
| Being here in So. Calif. I get to be naked outdoors most everyday. I love the feel of being naked as much as I can. I can't stand having clothes clinging to my body especially when it is warm. I love playing tennis nude every weekend at my club. There is no better way! | |
| Nakedboy, I also agree it must be great to have somewhere where you can be naked so much. What part of Alabama are you in? I pretty much grew up in Panama City, Florida but now live in Las Vegas, Nevada. Do you live in a subdivision or a more rural area? I live on a dead-end street with a turnaround at the end and only 11 houses on the street and a single street lamp about midway down the street. Still, it's too public, with neighbors living abutted next to each other, to walk nude up and down the street. The best I can do is walk to and from the mailbox, take out the trash, or stand in the front of the house with my robe open as long as no one is outside. So far, I have no evidence of anyone seeing me - at least no complaints. One night about halfway to the mailbox just after dark a neighbor surprised me by flipping on his headlights just ahead of me, across my path of travel. Another night, my next door neighbor suddenly appeared from the dark and said something about a "senile old man". If either actually realized I was nude beneath my open robe, they said nothing to me. Actually, I wish they had so I could have opened the subject of nudism with full knowledge they were aware and okay with it. Being able to walk about freely in the nude would be great. Jim | |
| DKK: Thank you for your comment. I'm glad somebody understands how I feel. You were right. it did feel good being outside naked. Of course I couldn't stay out there long and I had to stay where it was kind of dark, but it felt great. There is a couple that live across the street from me, and I worry they might call the police if they saw me walking around naked. One day last week I went walking around my pond naked after they had left to go somewhere. There's nothing like being outside naked. | |
| LuxorSecurity: I live in a small community in Southeast Alabama called Love Town. Our mailing address is Ashford, Alamaba, which is south of Dothan. The place where I live is rural and I have a big yard with a fish pond in the back yard. We get a pretty good bit of traffic on my street, but what concerns me are the neighbors across the street. I'm afraid they might call the police if they saw me outside naked. Before they came I used to walk around naked all the time and I am usually naked when I'm at the computer which is right next to a window with the blinds opened. | |
| I understand just where you're comng from, Nakedboy. I'm also concerned about my neighbors' reactions if i apear fully nude outside my house or bakyard. However, within my own backyard I figure what I do is my own business since they'd have to make the effort to lok into my yard over the cinderblock walls between our yards. There are two two-story houses which can look into my backyard at different angles and i've certainly been inthe line of sight of both while nude, though I don't know if they've seen me. However, I don't consider it a big deal if they do since i'm not trying to create a scene of any sort. I just want to enjoy my backyard witout clothing. Jim | |
| SunBunny, from the time I was a small child I loved to be outside nude, I got in trouble a lot with my mom for taking my clothes off back then. As I got older I liked to walk in the woods and remains of a disserted farm next to our home. The feeling of being nude outside was always so good, I think from your writings you know what I am talking about. As time went by I met and married a woman that also like the nudist life style and we bought my present home for the privacy that allowed us to work outside nude. She and her children had never thought there was anything wrong with being nude at home and it was taken for granted by her children, a teenage son and pre-teen daughter when we were married. While I never had a problem with being nude around adults this was a new experience for me. But since they were brought up in a home with nudity I got over my initial concerns. We would spend time outdoors doing things around the yard, reading or about anything a family does. After the kids left the nest to start their own families we continued with a nudist life style until she passed on to where I like to think she is enjoying being a nudist. We loved to go sailing on Lake Erie and would spend weekends on the boat nude, as I am sure you also enjoy. I had the good fortune of meeting a woman I had gone to high school with and I soon found out that she also enjoyed the nudist lifestyle. I have always felt that being nude outdoors gave me a feeling of one with nature. I love the sun on my nude body and have had the joy of finding someone twice that also liked this. Outdoor nudity for me is the joy being able to share with someone you care about. Besides working in the yard and sail boating I also like to hike nude and due to the size and shape of out land I can go one half mile from one end to the other on trails we cut in the woods many years ago. I fear that due to development around us one day we may lose our privacy. | |
| I enjoyed your story Captinwillie, I always like to read about how people got started and their history with naturism. If there is a place for that on this site somewhere I will have to write mine up sometime. One thing about outdoor nudity for me, and this gets back to my 'wearing your house' comment, is that it really exposes you to the elements. You get a keen sense of how much sensory input your clothing "protects" you from. You don't get the same effect inside a climate-controlled house. Outside you're able to feel all those positive things directly, fresh air, the breeze, water, warm sunshine...but also more negative things: sharp plants, bugs, sweat, scary weather, cold rain, low flying airplanes, nosy neighbors. It gives you a heightened sense of vulnerability. When you give in to that vulnerability and overcome it...it's a wonderful feeling of letting go and being connected with all that the world has to offer. | |

| Being outdoors completely without clothing removes the physical, psychological, and spiritual barriers. I feel free and at one with every other on this planet. There is a fresher vitality as the air moves by. All senses are heightened as all the protective armor is shed. | |
| Spent the day at a mall...in a Car Show...clothed, Yuck! LOL The weather was awesome and I was doing fine but sure would have been great to be able to sit out there with my muscle car...sunning all my muscle in the sun! Glen Eden is going to have a car show in May. We are entered into that Car Show and are hoping for some great weather so we can sit naked out in the sun and show off the car and get a tan! ;) | |
| FireProf, Nude car shows would be fun. Turtle Lake Resort use to have one but none that I know of for the last few years. I am afraid that with some of my cars the only muscle is in my arm using the hand crank to start my 1910 or 1920, though the 1920 was made a year or 2 after Ford started offering a starter on their model T's. It was an extra cost option then. | |
| This will be our second Nude Car Show at Glen Eden. Our 67 Chevelle is getting close to being road worthy enough to take it on the road and go to some others. We want to take it to Laguna Del Sol for their Nude Car Show! Once our windows are tinted...we can drive it up to Laguna Del Sol in the nude and get started right away! LOL but that's a different group (Driving Nude!) LOL | |
