 Is anyone aware of a specific nudist FD activity? The only one I know of so far is NU5DE in New Mexico I think. Maybe NU6DE might try to field something in SoCal but the idea is still in limbo. We'd like to set something up at De Anza Resort if they'll have us. Any ideas. Contact me, W6AXM or John, N6VCW.

 Just a note, NU5DE is in Texas. I was lucky enough to operate from their base station last summer. I have not heard of any Field Day activities for them but will keep my ears open.

 NU6DE had an FD 2011 site at De Anza this past weekend. We had 4 people present, 2 working phone and 2 working CW Saturday evening. I don't know how many contacts we made but the CW ones counted for 2 or 3 - I don't recall which. Thanks to moderator Jim, Kent and Rod who lives on site. I supplied the CW rig with an MFJ magnetic loop antenna which works exceedingly well but is NOT the ideal FD antenna since it has to retuned for as little as a 5 kHz QSY. But once tuned we could work anything we heard. Rod instilled a permanent love of CW in me, W6AXM. I hope Jim posts the results of the outing. I contributed nothing on Sunday because I had had no sleep Friday night and the 4 hour (for me) drive to the resort was tiring and we were on line until 9:30 PM or so. It was fun though. Hopefully by 2012 I will be able to handle 35 wpm in my head too and keep log at the same time. 73 - Gar
