| Police officers came to my house to take a statement about a disturbance, and I didn't remember until after they left that the screen saver right behind my head is thousands of naked pictures rolling across the screen! There's no way they could have missed that! Awkward! | |
| Last semester, my roommate was cool with my nudity, so I was just chilling on my couch in the nude. Well, the couch happens to be right in view of the doorway. All of the sudden, he sort of whispers to me "you need to get dressed" while on the phone because his "little sister" (through a program helping freshmen, not genetic) was coming over to visit. But what he didn't have time to mention is that actually, in the phone conversation, she then mentioned that she was right down the hall! So, right about as she was opening the door (it was unlocked), I was attempting to whip the blanket over my body! She uttered a quick "oh my...!" and shut the door for me to have a chance to get dressed. When she finally came back in, she kept apologizing and saying "I didn't see anything!" I probably should have mentioned the fact that it didn't really matter to me (after all, people see me naked all the time!), but I didn't want to freak her out more. | |

Though, having grown up in a place where nudity is far more accepted than here, what I would consider a awkward moment would probably make the most of you want to crawl into a hole... lol | |
| copied from my journal "Busted" This little story is about the time I got busted while at the same time busted another. I was lying on the beach in San Onofre, Ca. watching all the people wander by. It was a scorching day In July, perfect day for the beach. As I sat there I saw a lady and her friend setting up their chairs in the sand. Could it be? No Way! It was! It was my high school english teacher Ms. Smith (name obviously changed). I had graduated the year before and was no longer in her class but it had only been a year since I was. I was immediately mortified. I didn't want to see anybody I knew, especially someone I respected like a teacher! Ms. Smith was in her late 20's and had only been teaching a few years. She was definately one of the "hot teachers" at that school. I sat there thinking to myself, should I dress and bail, should I say Hi, should I ignore her? I thought the 1st option was the worst, looked sleazy. the last option i thought was rude too. so I figured i should say something. but i was scared stiff. I decided I would walk down to the water and take a swim. as i started back toward my chair I noticed she was walking down to the water. "Uh Oh" I thought. As we got closer I saw her stop and turn back to her chair. I knew she had seen me. She sat in her chair and casually put a tshirt back on as she spoke with her friend. Now I felt guilty about ruining her day so I walked over to her and said "Hello". She was obviously nervous and blushing. "Hi Bo," she said, "Um what are you dong here?" she asked. "Same as you, gettin some sun," I replied. I told her how I saw her and was really embarassed and thought about leaving. I also explained to her that I wouldn't tell a soul. What she did was her business and not to worry. Nudists Honor I call it. She admitted that she saw me and paniced. She was about to leave and about died that I walked up. We chatted for a bit and I went back to my chair. I was releived to see her take her shirt off after I left. A little later that day, as I played volleyball with a group of people I had met, I saw Ms Smith & company walk up and watch for awhile and after a few minutes they were invited to join. For the next few hours we talked laughed and played not thinking about our teacher/student relationship but as friends who had a common thread (or a lack of threads lol) After the volleyball game we all sat together, talked some more, told her friend about being in her class and what not. As the day came to an end I invited them to join me at Glen Eden, neither had been. We met up there one day and met at the beach a few more times. I haven't seen Ms. Smith in years now though. Hopefully, maybe, she finds me on Nudistclubhouse.com!!!!!! That would be wonderful as I do miss my old friend =0) | |

| I share a place with my brother and sister. I am new to the nudist thing and neither of them know it. They are also against nudity since that is how we were raised. Anyways, the three of us were at my parents house. My sister wasn't ready to leave so my brother and I walked home (about 1/4 mile). When we got home I asked him if he wanted to swim. He agreed and off we went. Whenever my sister is away and it's just my brother, I skinny dip. My brother doesn't seem too pleased with this, but he doesn't say too much about it either. The way our house is set up when you come through the front door you can see straight to a sliding glass door out to the pool. My towel is on the chair located next to the sliding glass door. I get out of the pool and walk to the chair standing directly in front of the sliding glass door as my sister walks through the front door and sees me before I get to my towel standing in front of the glass door completely nude. She asks what I'm doing. I tell her swimming. She says where are your swim trunks. I said, I don't need them. Then she just turned and walked away. I wasn't embarrassed at all about being seen, but I think it was awkward for her. | |
| This happened to me while away for a few days break at a hotel, I had finnished breakfast and decided to go for a swim and sauna in the hotel spa area, well to save time I thought it would be better to slip into my Jogging trousers and T-shirt, well I went upto my room where I slipped out of my clothes and went to the draw to get my jogging trousers and T-shirt out, while I was doing this the cleaner opened the door and came in to catch me half way between the bed and the draws naked, well I just said sorry about this and opened the draw and took out the clothing I was going to put on and went to the bathroom, when I came out now dressed she said how she thought the room was empty but not to worry she was a naturist and seen plenty of nude men before and it was a nice sight to see first thing in her daily routine. | |

| The awkward moment happened with an ex of mine. She called me telling me she on the way home from work it took her longer then normal to get home. The car pulled up the drive way and parked. Moments later I heard 3 slams. My first thought was I needed to get the diver door fixed at that point not putting two and two together. But she had gotten her out of state parents from the airport. I must of spaced it was marked on the calendar for months. They walked in taking one look at me her mother almost had a heart attack. I got dressed and explained to her I wasn't expecting them so soon. Later we ended up having a laugh over it. | |

| Being outted as a nudist at my retirement party with 150+ people in attendance...family, friends and coworkers and their wives! It was a little awkward but such a relief for me, my wife and our kids. NO more secrets or hiding! | |
| one day i did some work around my mother in laws house so when i was finished she said that i could take a shower if i wanted so i did when i was done i walked backed to the room (not dressed) when i enter the bed room ther she was folding clothes on the bed I went to cover myself and she said do not bother you doint have anything i have not seen before | |
| I was at my home nudist club a fews years ago talking to another member when I heard the rumbling of a truck. I looked over and saw a truck from a frozen food company pull in. I knew that deliveries were made here, but this was the first time that I was there at the same time. It was awkward being completely naked while a clothed truck driver walked by. | |
| At a club event at my home, an attendee rang the doorbell, I answered staying half in back of the door to make sure who was there. He said, "I forgot something in my car and will be be right back." Well....the doorbell rang again, and me thinking it was him again, just opened the door. OOOoooops...it was the paperboy delivering that day's paper and collecting $ from the previous deliveries. | |
| I thought of another one, although I was clothed at the time. My mom stopped by one morning on her way to work, and nobody in my family knows that I am a nudist. I saw her at the table staring at something. After she left I went to see what she was looking at and it was a piece of mail from AANR. Oops. LOL | |
| Running into a teacher and youth pastor all in the same day at a nudist resort not once but twice one Saturday then have to see then at school and church knowing you saw them naked the imagery is burned in your mind forever. | |
| I was vacationing with my wife at Hidden Beach. I walked out of the restroom (nude of course) to meet a group of travel agents visiting the resort. With all of the gasping, all I could do was smile. Of course the leader of the group covered the silence with "Oh, I forgot to mention that this is a clothing-optional facility." VERY AWKWARD. | |
| Mine's kind of short. My ex is a photo nut. When we lived in San Diego she had taken photos of me naked in the sun by the pool, asleep and "hard" that I didn't know about it. She took several others with her timer of both of us but that one was at the end of the roll (days of film). She got them developed and mistakenly mixed that one with our wedding pictures that she then sent to her family in Chicago. When we went back to visit them her Mother gave the picture back to her with me standing there in their kitchen and desperately eked out a smile, but her sisters who got it first had field day with it. They grinned and giggled and gave me crap about it for years. | |

| I was on an extended business trip staying at the Country Inns and Suites in Council Bluffs, Iowa. My coworker (Rich), his wife (Amy), and I were in Ruby Tuesdays (we were regulars) on a Sunday night and decided to go swimming. It was closing time and one of the bartenders (Dianna) asked if she could go with us, so we said sure. We get to the pool (indoors) around 11pm after changing into suits and sit in the jacuzzi. The last person left the pool and it was just the four of us then. Amy instantly asks "why do you all have your suits on?" I was the first one nude, followed by Amy, then Rich, and then Dianna reluctantly said "what the hell" and took her clothes off. We were going from the jacuzzi to the pool and back for about an hour when Dianna and I get up to go over to a table where we had a cooler of beer. I open a bottle and see the door to the pool room open (it's 12:45am) and see its the night manager at the hotel. She sees Dianna and I stark naked at the table having a beer, Rich and Amy were in the pool having a splash fight. She looks at us and just says "Oh my god! Don't you know there are cameras in here?" No one seemed to care and the manager didn't tell us to get dressed and leave. She was in to cycle the pool filters, and after she did that she comes over to the table and has a beer with Diana and me. After the beer the manager went back to the desk, and we just continued to go swimming. The craziest thing I did that night was go outside for a smoke. It was a fenced in area but it was JANUARY... in IOWA, and was about 5 degrees. I needed a smoke so I just threw on my sandals and went out with Diana stark naked for a cig. 3 am rolled around and Diana said she had to go, Rich and I had to go to work in a few hours so we all packed it in. Diana got dressed and went to her car. Rich, Amy, and I just walked back to our separate rooms naked (past the front desk). Who cared? The manager had already seen us naked. We did that a few more times before we finally left in March. | |
| One night just to be different I show up at my girlfriends apartment completely - 100% - totally nude; run to the door in the dark and ring the door bell. My girlfriends room mate (who I thought was out of town for the weekend) answers the door - - with her boyfriend! My girlfriend had gone to the mall and wouldn't be home for an hour or so. I decided not to stay and wait for her . . . | |
| Being at my first or second nudist swim and walking up to a group of people playing cards. I only new one of the older ladies a little bit because she was the one who did the introduction for me about the nudist group, and so that is who I walked up to talk to (casual convo). Because they were sitting down in chairs, and I was standing, my genitals were about a foot or two from her face. That was a bit awkward; even though I know that's just how it happens when one isn't wearing clothes. | |
| My awkward moment is more a missed opportunity, I guess. One evening last week, after dark, I walked to the mailbox in only my open robe, as I often do. At any rate, while returning to the house, my next door neighbor stepped out and I heard his voice as he spoke. I asked him to repeat what he'd said, as I closed my robe while continuing toward him, and heard him say something about the senile man in his robe. My missed opportunity, I believe, was failing to respond with, "No, not senile, just a nudist" or something similar to break the ice. We talked for awhile and I invited him over to see the progress on our new driveway and yard by the landscapers. While standing on the street and talking, my neighbor directly across the street also came outside to walk his dogs and joined our conversation. There I stood holding my robe closed and never finding an opportunity to explain why I chose to wear only my robe outside. Neither man made any comment or questioned my choice of dressing only in my robe. I really hope to have another opportunity to tell my neighbors I'm a nudist to hopefully generate conversation and open up the community to the joys of this way of life. Jim | |
| During the summer of my college years I worked as a merchandiser setting up new products advertising in Big Box stores like Best Buy or Wal-Mart etc. Anyway.. we had a guy quite in the middle of a project in Miami , I was free at teh time so I got the job to finish up. Basically I finished the job the evening I got there which left me free for the entire next day. Well having heard about Haulover beach I slipped my crocs on , grabbed my towels and sun screen and headed there. Found ,myself a spot , spread out my stuff and decided to walk along while I put on my sun screen and see the sights.. I appraoched two ladies from behind and not wanting to scare them I said excuse me as I walked passed them. As they turned around there was my boss and her daughter. I knew I was history right then and there. I couldn't help but just laugh. By the time I got home from Miami the next day I had an e-mail thanking me for the job I had done ,commending me on my throughness and saying that she would be in touch with me for the next job. I never heard from her again.. | |
| I called a plumber to give me an estimate on some work I need done, but told him to call before he came over. Being a nice Florida spring day, I left the side door open to get some fresh air in the house. The way my house is laid out, you have to walk past the side door from the kitchen to get to the bedrooms and that was where my clothes were. From the side door you can see the kitchen sink where I was standing. I was standing at the kitchen sink nude as usual expecting the plumber to call before he came, as I requested. Well, he didn't and just showed up at the opened side door. As he's walking up to the door he says, "hi," sees me nude at the sink and quickly turns around. I said, "I thought you'd call before you stop by," as I walked past the side door to the bedroom to get dressed. When I came back to the door, the guy recovered from his embarrassment and gave me an estimate for the work I needed done. Of course, I still walk around my home nude with the side door sometimes open and whoever comes over without calling just has to see me naked. | |
| LOL... Forgot about this one; Our nudist friends from Washington state came to stay with us a few days before we headed off on our annual trip to the Terra Cotta Inn. Our last home had a very private backyard and we were out there nude all the time. The weather was cooperating, for the winter time, and so we decided to have breakfast out on the patio. We were all nude and sitting, eating, talking and our pool guy came into the backyard! I had forgotten that I asked him to come by the day before to check on our heater. He was more embarrassed than the girls were. My male friend and I never blinked an eye and I even got up with my pareo and walked over to him while I was adjusting and tying it off. I apologized if we embarrassed him. He apologized for not making enough noise when he came in the backyard. We all laughed and he said..."well, I guess this means you won't have to go into the house anymore when I come to clean the pool." I had that...question look on my face, and he said..."I've caught you a few times going into the house when I came here to clean the pool!" I never even knew that! LOL He said his wife wanted to change routes and do our pool cuz nothing fun ever happens on her route! LOL | |
| My most recent awkward moment was earlier this summer when I was mowing the back yard in only a t-shirt and the Edison meter-reader came around the corner of the house to do his job. I didn’t even try to cover my self sense he had already seen me. I just smiled and kept mowing. It probably wasn’t the first time the meter reader had run across this situation. Now I check the bill to see when they will be back nest month. I use to work for a utility company and hear a lot of stories from the techs that worked at houses and businesses. | |

I just wish my neighbor would stop looking over the fence. I’ve tried to talk to him about it but he doesn’t want to, he changes the subject. | |
| If he keeps looking over the fence he must not find your nakedness offensive - no problem as long as he's not a pervert. If he won't talk ignore him until he approaches you on the subject. As I've said elsewhere, I'm trying to learn from the authorities what my rights and obligations as a nudist are within my own property and vehicle. So far, the Sheriff's Office was of no help, sting I may want to consult an attorney, though the reply came from an attorney. Go figure. | I know this is an old thread, but I had to post with my story. As a longtime youth pastor, I have worked with many teenagers over the years. A good part of them I have known since they were young children in Kid’s Church. I wish I could say I remember all of them, unfortunately I can’t, but there are others that stand out in my memory. One teen was a young lady that graduated from our ministry about 10 years ago. She left for college in the Midwest, married and we lost contact. She a unique name and was a fun loving, out-going type, very passionate about life. Last summer I went to a meet and greet at a local resort (about 90 miles away). It was crowded, and people were introducing themselves and I heard a unique, but familiar name. So I made my way through the crowd, and this young woman turned around, lo and behold it was the girl from youth group, now of course in her late twenties. It was very awkward at first for maybe 10-15 minutes. I had seen this woman grow from a child to a teen and spent six years as her youth pastor. She took part in the youth camps, retreats, pool parties, beach trips, hanging out at the house with the family. I taught her, celebrated victories and comforted her when she needed a shoulder to cry on, during her teen years. And now here we were face-to-face, nude. We eventually got over the nudity issue, and spent time catching up. She had a child, divorced and returned to California. She is part of Vita Nuda and enjoys the nudist lifestyle. It was an enjoyable afternoon. | |
| My wife and I spent the day at our club several months ago and saw a woman that we knew from PTA!!! She tried, in vane, to not be noticed but we saw her, smiled and waved. She never came over to us to say hello but she was noticibly uncomfortable knowing someone from her past and from the school our kids went to. Sometimes I think some of these people that still get freaked ... are in this lifestyle for fun, sexual draw or recreation and not as a way of life, like many of us, so they still can't deal with anyone from the "outside" knowing they do it. ;) |
