Going to a nudist resort for the first time.
| Hi everyone, I'm going to a nudist resort for the first time, I will be going alone, husband is working. We are new to this lifestyle, I sunbath nude in the backyard,it was strange at first because I would catch the neighbors watching me from there upstairs windows. My husband said don't worry about it,let them look they will soon get bored and stop watching you,(there not getting bored). We have a somewhat open marriage,my husband is such a kick back guy, nothing seems to bother him. So my question is, what can I expect one my first day alone. Please share your thoughts. | |
| my first time at Glen Eden,i was excited at first, then i got bored not having anyone i knew to talk to. there were a few of the regulars there, and once i got past my not knowing anyone, i found them easy to talk to.it was very laid back and relaxing.definately a great chance to unwind.i wish you a great time. | |
| I'm only being realistic and honest; You being female, will not have any problem having people willing to talk to you. It's a proven fact and just something we have to live with til the idea that single men are somehow...untrustworthy, at first, until they prove themselves. For you first time; You'll find there is so much to take in. You are most likely quite comfortable with being nude at home, hence; home nudist. It's a little different the first time you are in an environment where everyone else is nude as well. It'll take you about a minute or two to adjust...then, it will blend so well that...it just seem right and normal. Nowadays when I visit Glen Eden and see a clothed person...it's kinda strange! Sit alone or sit near someone else and if you feel like socializing...strike up a conversation. Most times, single women are a bit shy and private and can send out signals that they want to be left alone. If you're one of those, they will get the hint quickly. If you'd rather be social, you need to make the first move so they know they are not intruding into your space. Call ahead and see if the restaurant, cafe, snack bar (depending on where you are going) is open or...take your own drinks and lunch and keep it by your lounge. I've had very good luck with leaving my valuables in a bag at my lounge chair when I've left to go for a walk or bathroom. People look out for one another and are quite honest and respectful. We did have one guy that was a bit...strange, at GE a while back. He was accused of taking things. When pressured...he denied it but then...those items mysteriously reappeared soon after! Just use your best judgement. Don't be afraid to start a conversation. You'll be glad you did and you'll meet some great people. I've been visiting our club alone, while my wife has to work, and have finally gotten passed the stage where they know who I am, who my wife is and I guess I'm not a threat any longer! LOL So when I do visit alone, I'm greeted and asked to join in on conversations. Have a good time! FP :) | |
| Hey, dkk, that was my first also! When were you there? My wife and I went for the first time December 10, 2009 then again in January of 2010. the second time, we had two of our grandkids with us. John | |
| Have a great time, Roxy. I've only been to nudist social events a total of three times myself, at a private residence where the owner said his goal was to create a near-resort experience. Since I'm a male it may be different for me but I felt comfortable right away. You mentioned your neighbors peeking at you from their upstairs windows. Does it bother you at all? If not, then you'll have absolutely no problem being amongst other nudists who will NOT stare or try to steal sideways glances at you since nudity will be common and everywhere. Have a great time. Hopefully your husband will be able to join you soon. Jim Livin' naked and free | |
| My first time was not at a resort but at a home party. I must admit I expected different from what I got. No perfect bodies or tans. Just nice people. I had a great time and love being with others who are nude too. Have to admit it was difficult going nude with others at first. |
