 By way of introduction, I guess I could say I've always been a nudist... long before I knew there was a word for it. Perhaps closet-nudist would be a better description. I simply have always enjoyed being naked, but have never done it publicly, or in the presence of others.

When I was a teenager I'd go up north to my family's cottage and take the boat out to an isolated island at the far end of the lake (where there are no cottages) to spend quiet afternoons nude. I'd beach the boat, ditch my shorts, and bask in the sun... swim... walk around a bit (it wasn't a very large island, only about 100 meters long). I loved it! Occasionally when I was up there during the week and the lake was pretty much deserted I'd get out the windsurfer and sail out of our bay and around the point, remove my swimsuit, tie it to the bottom of the mast, and just enjoy windsurfing nude.

Later, I got married but my wife has absolutely no interest in nudism, so I kinda' just gave it up... no biggie... I slept nude of course (who wouldn't?) but that was about it. A few years later we split up and I had the apartment to myself. Since it was on the 2nd floor and was overlooking an empty field I could walk around as nude as I pleased, and I enjoyed every minute of it... even though I was at home. Unfortunately I couldn't afford to live there long, so eventually I had to move and the new place wasn't at all convenient to nudism so I gave it up once again. Also since then I've rarely had time to go up north and enjoy those long, glorious hours alone on the island.

Now remarried, my wife unfortunately (again!) has no interest in nudity. I can't even get her to be nude around the home. Oh well... she's amazing is so many ways, not wanting to be nude is a non-issue really.

However, soon she and her best friend are going down to the Caribbean for a week... leaving me home alone, and free to be as nude as I want to be all week long! For some reason I'd only just thought of that a week or two back and that's what got me into searching online about "home nudism". Sure, it won't compare to the afternoons on "my island"... but it'll be a great way to spend a week nevertheless. I'll have to draw the blinds, turn up the thermostats a bit, but I'll be able to be as naked as I want from the time I get home from work 'til I have to leave the next day.

I've even given thought to experiencing my first publicly nude outing. Still unsure about that though. There's a couple of opportunities locally, but I can't say I've totally worked up the courage to take that step. Time will tell. There's a nude beach not far away, but fall weather being what it is here, there may be no desire to strip down. LOL There's also an outdoor spa about an hour away that has nudist afternoons twice a month, so that's another possibility. Like I said though... gotta' find the courage to take that step.

I considered the backyard, but am not too sure about that. There are apartments one street behind our place which are high enough someone could easily see over the fence, even if from a distance. As long as I stayed at ground level the neighbours have no view though... so it is possible.

Anyways, even if I don't visit either place, I'll still have 7 whole days at home to be nude and enjoy myself. I will likely at least take the step into the yard, albeit carefully.

 Welcome, FastFive. I hope you enjoy every minute of clothes-free time. I for one will encourage you to take the step into the backyard and anywhere else you can find the oppoortunity to go nude , hopefully with others.

Welcome back. Been married and divorced twice. And I had to bury my nudist habits. Sorry to say the marriages ended for other reasons. And the ex's non-acceptance was just one more thing.

Trips to a nude beach and/or resort are now SOP. I'll not bury my emotions/feelings again.
