In the NYC Metro Area, there's the males only Hot Nude Yoga at www.hotnudeyoga.com. If you can look past its gay male orientation; the yoga is pretty good.

I currently live in the Spring/Woodlands area which is north of HoustonTX... I want very much to get involved in nude yoga, but at present I am financially constrained. Even if finances were not a problem, I'm still having a hard time finding an outfit that offers nude yoga. Is there a "special" name by which insiders can identify it by?

I know I could learn the basics in a regular yoga class (for which I have signed up for thru the local college), and then practice them in the nude in private - but I really want to be in a group setting - why, I don't know, but I do.

Is there anybody in this area that would like to participate in our "own" class?

Any help/suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks.

There is a nude yoga class here in Saint Louis, Missouri, one..lol.. It is at a place called Floored. It happens on Sundays but I haven't been able to make it yet (bad day for me). It is an open nude yoga class, but all attendees are men. Probably because of women being uncomfortable..
There is co-ed clothing optional yoga classes in Austin Texas, and naked yoga class for men at a place called Niaspace.

I believe Caliente Resort offersYoga and its a nude resort so the classes should be as well - I would be shocked if they weren't.
Does anyone know of a nude yoga class in West Michigan?

Just to pass on some info.... If anyone is familiar with the "meet-up" group websites, I think it is www.meetup.com or www.meet-up.com, you might be able to find some clubs or groups in your area on there that do nude yoga and a lot of other activities! Its a pretty good website! I know that in Texas they have a great coed clothing optional yaga group. I haven't been able to get there for any yet (if I every get back to Texas I'm gonna schedule it to get to one though) but it looks like a great group! Anyway, on meetup, you put in what you are looking for and they will send an email to you when something comes up in your area. Check it out and good luck!
Still looking for Nude yoga classes in West Mi. Maybe we can get it at one of the SMN gatherings.

Near Boston I found a "Naked Yoga" class (all male, but what can you do?) and am going to try it out in a couple of days (on April 15). While it seems to have primarily gay participants, it is open to all and straight men do participate. I do my home practice naked almost all the time, indoors and out in my private back yard so I know nude is best for Yoga. Will report back Friday on how the class goes. I am excited and looking forward to it!

I attended my first "Naked Yoga for Men" class last night and it was a good experience. This was my first group class in the nude and though it was all male and primarily made up of gay men I (straight)felt accepted and comfortable. Actually the "naked" part was easy as any other social nude experience I've had, but the Yoga part was kind of tough! There is a simple proccess you go through to get accepted into the class.I can tell anyone in Boston area who is interested how to go about it.
awesome!
So, I've had virtually no luck finding co-ed nude yoga classes in the Northern Virginia or D.C. area. Seems any that I do find are aimed at gay men and don't seem suitable for my wife and me to get started with Yoga. Anyone have any tips on where to find co-ed non-sexual oriented yoga classes? It would seem that with all the press the topic has had in the mainstream that there would be more classes out there, yet my research on google and the like proves it to be much more of an underground activity. I'd be happy to be proven wrong. Thanks.

Skycladder,

it was great. I would highly recommend her for a private class. We started with a simple disrobing ceremony and breathing exercise. She challenged me with the tree pose, which I always have a hard time with. Then we did some partner yoga with the tree pos and that was just incredible. It was very spiritual and moving. Then I did some warrior poses, some floor poses, and she was very good at assisting me through some of the twists. After I relaxed through the corpse pose, we ended with a half lotus pose and chatted for awhile. It was very refreshing sitting there totally nude chatting with her, and idscussing the previous hour and what my thoughts were. It truly was a great experience,a nd I am planning on going back in March. If it works out right, I may be able to schedule some time with er again, and come to one of Cindee's classes as well, but I have to firm up travel plans around the first of the year.

There is an all male nude yoga class on the far north side of Chicago. Like someone's previous post, it is open to both straight and gay men. I spoke with the instructor and they have several classes during the week and on weekends. Their site is www.bareessentialsyoga.com. I'm still looking for a co-ed class or at least one closer to me.

I think I am going to be in NYC at the end of February and may look to stay through Monday so I can attend one of Cindee's lunch time classes.

Skycladder - if you get any more info on the class in NJ, I would be interested in learning about it

I'd like to try a nude yoga class sometime. I do nude yoga using the instruction the Wii all the time but I realize that doesn't really "count". :) It's still relaxing, challenging and enjoyable though.

In NYC, Cindee at http://nakedspirityoga.com is my teacher - and a very good friend at that.
After looking for over a year, the SCNA has found not one, but two teachers who are willing to help establish a mixed-gender beginners Nude Yoga class in the greater Los Angeles area.

One is located in Canoga Park, and will be conducted on Sat mornings. The other is in Culver City and currently will take place on Monday evenings.

If you're interested in more info, please visit www.socalnaturist.org or contact me here.

Namaste!
