RV'ing/Camping Nudists Naked Camping plans for 2012
| Hey All... It's a New Year! What are your plans for naked camping this year? Our annual Dads and sons trip to Death Valley is coming up. Though it is NOT a naked camping trip...I'm the ONLY nudist of the bunch...I do get away and get some time to myself and do some naked sunning and hiking. Then there's the Nude Attitude Car Show at Glen Eden Sun Club in April. My wife and I will be there with our muscle car and hopefully camping ( ha!) in my dad's motorhome. What are your plans? | |
| I really enjoyed driving my dad's motorhome and it was even more fun when I was able to drive it naked. My wife thought she'd feel more comfortable in one of her house shirts but liked the idea of being "comfortable" while driving in a home on wheels! Still not sure if purchasing the motorhome is on the horizon. I'd like to and I think I can swing it on my own but it won't be for another year. Not sure if my dad wants to hold onto it for that long. He gets in these moods and wants to unload quickly and most times takes a bath on those items he wants to sell so quickly. I thought about taking it to Death Valley but it is SO dirty there that I think I'll rough it and take the tent trailer. Looks like our 9 y.o. grandson will be coming along again this year. Hope I'm still up and around when the youngest grandson, now 20 months, wants to give it a try. I may need a motorhome for that trip! I'll be looking for some creature comforts! LOL | |
| Can hardly wait for the snow to be gone so that we can get the van out of the back yard and hit the road. So far we have plans to hit Sun Meadow in Idaho for a week in May. In July we will be back there again for 2-3 weeks. Its a great place with great people. Love being there!!! | |
| I did take the motorhome to Death Valley and it was a good move! The best part was that the 2 dads and 2 sons that bunked with us, on separate nights, did blink an eye to my nude sleeping or getting up in the middle of the night to use the restroom. I was able to get the entire inside cleaned up while nude and the motorhome was sitting our in the street in front of the house...good thing...it was a warm day! Got it back home to my dad and we'll go pick it up again in May for the Glen Eden Car Show. Much better accomodations then last years tent trailer! I do enjoy driving that motorhome in the nude! What a plus! LOL :) | |
| Well ... it's official! We are going to buy my dad's motorhome! Really excited about it and can't wait to gut it and redecorate it to our own style ... complete with driving naked towels! LOL | |
| Great news about the new (to you) RV. We'll be traveling 6 more times this year but will have to stay in a cabin. | |
| Well ... if it were up to the Prof ... we'd be staying in a cabin instead of a motorhome! She's become a nudist snob! LOL She loves a bit of "luxury" and even though the motorhome is much nicer than what we've been currently camping in ... she still prefers a structure on the ground as opposed to accomodations on wheels! LOL I'm getting excited about getting it on Wednesday and then cleaning it out and reorganizing it to suit us. We'll be doing that on Wednesday night so I can drive it to the club on Thursday and set it up! Can't wait til next weekend and I've still gotta get my classic car ready for the show ... I have so much to do ... why am I on the computer! LOL ;) | |
| I think that there could not be anything better than sitting around a nice camp fire nude and looking at the stars as you lay there or sit there looking up and looking at the constellations . | |
| That's the truth! I spend the weekend with some of my past co workers and crew in Death Valley each March/April. I know that a few of them would not mind at all if that trip became a nude trip but I'm the only nudist of the bunch. I have ventured outside in the late evening or early, early mornings to water a bush and stood out there gazing up at all those stars and just stood there for 10-15 mins, naked with a warm breeze and clear skies. On our second trip ... I did this and stood there for several minutes and then heard someone behind me as some twigs cracked. I turned to see a wild burro about 20 ft from me. I'm not sure who was more scared! LOL I looked at it, it looked at me and it just turned and walked away. I'd love to go out there with my wife and just spend a few days and nights and never put a stitch on. There are plenty of spots to camp and be alone where you can be naked the entire time and not see anyone. Our first naked camping trip in our new/used motorhome was a success. We loved it ... most of all ... she loved it and that means there are more and more naked camping trips in our future. I think we'll be going up to Laguna Del Sol in the summer and camp by the lake! :) | |
| The motorhome is in storage as of today. I kinda miss having it out front of the house. I enjoyed messing with it, getting inside and stripping and cleaning, straightening and fixing things while naked. Today, I had it cleaned at a local car wash and then brought it home to finish detailing it. I couldn't wait to get inside and get naked to clean the inside of the windows. I turned on the radio and left the door open to catch the nice breeze. It was awesome. Next camping trip will be near the end of the month. WE want to go back to the club and stay a few nights and really get the bugs outta the coach. We want to set everything up, make sure everything works and just enjoy it because we weren't able to, as much, after my foot surgery. Then in July, we will take it up to the Central Coast of CA. There aren't any nudist clubs up that way so we will be staying in a textile campground BUT ... there will be naked driving up there and back! A good 4-6 hours of naked driving both ways!!! | |
| We down sized form a class C motor home to a class B. For my wife is was a problem as she does not have the room we had in the class C and she always likes to point out to me that the freezer on the old one was larger than the entire refrigerator on the class B. I like the driving more now as I do not have to drive a small house around anymore and she likes the 14 to 15 MPG compared to the 7 MPG the class C got. I pulled it out of our barn last week to get it ready for nude camping trips this summer only to find the generator would not stay running. A few hundred dollars and a new regular PCB took care of this. No warranty as that is what you don’t get when you buy a used one but looking at the cost of a new one compared to the used price it more than made up for the repairs. | |
| This is our first motorhome. For the price ... I could not pass it up but ... I will be the one driving it ALL the time. I think if we had gone to a Class C or B ... my wife would have felt comfortable driving them but she's not comfortable with the wide space, up front, of the Class A's. As luck would have it ... the Prof is off work and has caught a cold. I was hoping to get in a few days camping at our club before the next scheduled foot surgery. Not sure if it will happen now. Keeping my fingers crossed that she recovers quickly! :) | |
| Surgery on Friday and then I'll be laid up for about 2-3 weeks before any real driving can take place. Our camping trip at the end of July has had to be re-planned. There are no sites available so we will be driving up to Central CA in our car and when we return home, we will evaluate the foot issue and if I'm good to go, we will load the motorhome, gas it up and strip off our clothes and head north the first part of Aug to do some naked camping at Laguna Del Sol and then a visit with family near Sacramento! Life has a way of messing with your plans but ... we adapt and overcome and will make it work to our benefit the best we can. Worse case ... we spend a few nights naked camping at our club ... worse case LOL ... if that's some worse case ... I'll take it! | |
| My surgery was postponed for a week and it will happen tomorrow! Really kinda messing with our naked camping plans but ... my wife said that as soon as I am able to drive the motorhome ... she wants to go to the club and naked camp for a few days. Still up in the air if the drive to Sacramento is still in the works. Hoping this foot heals quicker, like the doctor says it will, and we can hit the road and camp up north at Laguna del Sol. | |
| Today ... I not only got in some naked driving but also inherited membership to a private textile campground. My parent purchased this 99 yr lease years ago. My mom passed several years ago and my dad's not using it. Rather than let it go ... The Prof and I took it over. Our girls grew up on camping at this club. We want to take our grandkids there and have them experience what our girls experienced. Lots of trails for hiking and tons and tons or space for them to explore without leaving the grounds. Funny thing was; we drove around the campground because we hadn't been there in years. We were both scoping out the various sites that lent themselves to some discreet naked camping ... in a textile campground!!! :) With some correctly placed EZ ups and positioning of the motorhome ... we could easily go in and out of our motorhome naked and spend time in the screened patio without being seen. My wife was even saying ... "that would be a nice spot for us to spend the time here and ditch the clothes when we return to the motorhome and not want to wear them." Though it's not a nude club or campground ... it's nice that we can find a place where we are out of site from people and with some privacy issues addressed ... we can still enjoy some naked time together. ;) | |
| Good luck with trying to be nude in a textual campground. Maybe you convince them to set aside a nude camping part for those of us that prefer to camp and be nude outdoors. | |
| Thing is ... this entire campground lends itself so well to be a nude club or resort. It's full of full grown trees, which shield the view from the road desending into the valley, with just minimal shrub addition or movement ... it's completely blocked off from the road. I'll be happy just to be able to enjoy "some" naked time while we are camped there. I'm not looking to convert anyone or even get caught ... just that an entire weekend or longer with only being able to be naked inside the motorhome will kill me and with the right spot ... we can be naked in our screen patio witout being seen. That's a real plus. I'll keep ya posted on the process and progress! LOL | |
| Returned from a camping trip to our club recently. Took the motorhome so ... I don't think it's really ... camping! hahaha But ... it was a naked outdoor outing at any rate. It gave us time to continue our "shake down" cruise of this coach that we just bought from my dad. It also gave me some time to personalize the coach so it becomes "ours" and not my dad's. One of the things we did was take down this picture that came witht the coach. I took the picture apart from the frame, used the mat as a template and then printed pictures of all our grandchildren and made a collage and rehung it in the same spot! Great addition to the coach. Set up and take down is getting easier and takes less time and the best part is that I'm able to do it naked. It's cooler, I'm not tugging at my shorts and ... it's just more fun. We spent 4 days and 3 nights there and if it weren't so dang hot ... we might have returned again already but ... I had stitches in my foot and could not get it wet and with temps over 100 degrees ... it was miserable being in those temps and not being able to use the pool. I guess ... once the weather breaks and it gets down to the 80's ... we'll be on the road again and camping/motorhoming at the club once again. ;) | |
| We took the motorhome out again for a tailgate party with family and their friends, last weekend. It was a great time but camping naked is an addiction, just like living naked. When you can't do it ... it just doesn't feel the same. My wife and I commented on the day trip after we got home, all the guests went home and we changed our clothes into our minimal clothes to unload the motorhome and clean it up a bit before closing it up for the night. We talked about how much easier, comfortable and fun it is to camp naked and wished we could have tailgated that way. I think our plans for another naked camping trip will happen sooner than later. We both enjoyed our last trip so much with the exception of the extreme heat (108). Now that it's cooling off, I think she'll be up for another weekend getaway to the club and more naked camping. ;) | |
| It’s great to camp nude. This is the first year in many that we have not taken the motor home for a nudist camping trip. We had the same problem with the sailboat this year, boat not in the water and it no fun sitting on the boat in the barn. We had so much to do this year with grandkids getting married and none where close to our home, speaking of home I am still working on the major remodeling of it so that all nudists’ things had to take a back seat. Well at least I have a big yard that I can work and cut the grass nude. | |
| It really is! We took clothes to get out of the motorhome and go into the market before we arrived at the club. We both took a long sleeve t shirt just in case it got cool at night. We also took a few sarongs/pareos with us to sit on in the evenings at the rec. center (easier than towels). We put the clothes on to go into the market, kept them on for about 3 mins for the drive to the club gate. Got out and checked in. Got back in the motorhome and took them off and didn't put any clothes on at all for 3.5 days ... until we arrived home and had to get out of the motorhome to unpack. My wife commented that, besides the obvious, the best part of naked anything is that there is minimal washing that needs to be done! LOL ;) | |
| Camping, nude or otherwise, is done for this year. It's a shame too. Just bought a newer, bigger motorhome 2 wks ago and so far only driven it to bring it home. So now the camper van is on Kijiji, hope it sells quickly. It'll be hard to wait for spring before we get to try it out. Today I changed the oil and filters and winterized the water system. All I need to do yet is tarp it.....And dream of heading to the nearest club next spring. Rusty | |
| WE are fortunate to have pretty good weather most of the year and if our area is a bit too cold ... we head for the desert for warmer weather and sun. I'm certain there are a few more nude camping trips in the near future. Our biggest problem, currently, is a tow vehicle. My wife is really getting into the "riding comfortably" in the motorhome and my truck's too big to tow and her's shouldn't be towed ... hmmmmmm ... looking for a Jeep Cherokee. See lots of those being towed. ;) | |
| We've not had the motorhome out in a while. I think the next day trip will be a tailgate outing for one of the Chargers next home games. Too bad the stadium officials and the SD cops don't let you tailgate naked!hahaha ;) |
