Up until last year my wife would have never thought of being nude at home or in public, after her first visit to White Tail she has discovered that she loved it. Unfortunately, she is not nude at home as myself or the kids. How can I help her to be nude more often with us. I sometimes feel that she is ashamed of her body.

On another note, how should or could we tell our friends and family that we choose this lifestyle? My dad and step-mom would prob freak as well as both sides of the family. We do have certain friends who understand our thoughts and respect us.

Hoping someone can help us with this information as it is hard to live 2 lives....

Is there some need or compulsion to tell people? When people ask where we're going for our spring vacation we say "There's a really nice resort we like with a lake and 2 pools and 2 restaurants and a bar." We don't just jump out and say "Oh, we're going to a nudist resort because we're nudists you know." If they want to know more about the resort we'd tell them the name but that hasn't happened yet.

If people ask where we're going for the day on a Saturday or Sunday we say we're going to visit friends at their lake for the day. We don't say "Oh, we're going to the nudist resort south of Jackson for the day."

If anyone ever asked if I'm a nudist I'd say "yes" and let them ask the next question. It's not my job to proselytize for the lifestyle but I'm always glad to promote it if the subject comes up. Like religion and politics I rarely initiate the conversation.

All that said, we both have friends and family members who are aware of our choice but we didn't "force" that knowledge on them or "out" ourselves so to speak.

I think Ski has it right...even though we are very public about our involvement in social nudity, we don't push it on family and friends who may not understand or accept. We also will tell family that we are going to a boutique hotel in Palm Springs, Cancun, Florida or wherever we are going...and certainly will give the name if they ask. If they know the resort then they obviously have had some level of interest and it can lead to a good conversation about social nudity. We're actually pretty private...in a public sort of way. :-)

Enjoy the Sunshine!

That's great news, I hope I have the same experience once I take my wife to a nice resort. I do think that if it works out that we will keep this to ourselves and the new friends that I hope to make. Co-workers and family need not know unless it is brought up I guess. My opinion of course.

On our vacation this year we met a really nice couple from Pennsylvania. We chatted for a while and she said he'd been bugging her for 23 years to go to a nudist resort. She finally relented and now wondered...4 hours in...what took her so long. We ran into them a few times over the next couple of days and she seemed very happy to be there.

My wife has slowly started to come around. She has been topless in the back yard and nude in the home a couple times.

Good to hear mfhy2k. My wife is even more against my nudity than before. She is convinced it is illegal even in the privacy of one's own fenced backyard.

In NYS it is illegal. I looked into it and the peeping Tom wins. I still go in the yard nude. I set up some view blocks with bushes and umbrellas. NYS is a weird state.
