IN HIS OWN WORDS …
一畫勝千言 is a Chinese expression which translates as a painting worth a thousand words. For the next six months, TV, radio, the Internet and all other outlets will paint a story of the numerous successes of Barack Hussein Obama II. N This, the one-year anniversary of the death of Osama bin Laden, is a proud time for all freedom-loving Americans to reflect on the 79 members of the United States Navy SEALS who gallantly stormed the Ābṭābād compound and carried through with the mission. Yet RamBHO has acted these last few days as if he single-handedly executed the al-Qāʿidah leader — coincidentally using “I/me” about seventy-nine times.

| Bin Laden's death is about the only positive thing Obama can point to. He's always pointed to his predecessor on every failure but gave him zero credit for having begun the process of finding and taking out bin Laden. So far, G. W. has received blame at evey turn but no credit for paving the way to the successes of the current administration. Jim | |
In October 1980, then-candidate Ronald Reagan famously asked the nation, “Are you better off than you were four years ago?” The voters responded by showing Jimmy and Rosalynn the door. Pose that same query of most Americans to-day and the answer is likely to be similar.
| It all depends where you live at this point. Many states are seeing the up turn. California was hit hard but my business and others are seeing improvement. So I would have to say No, but we are climbing back. I opened my business Feb 2007 when the recession was announced. For two years it has been a steady climb. | |

Listening to the presiDEBT bloviate year-after-year, “It’s déjà vu all over again.”
| Brother and sister conservatives, I believe through my many years of life I have come up with a foolproof way to tell when a politician is lying. It's really very simple. Their lips are moving! | |
In 2008, Candidate ☭BAMA promised Hope and Change. Four years later, America knows it was all an act; and since he has no record on which to run,

ѲBLAIMa has passed the buck to others — mainly to George W. Bush — for complications that characterize his presidency, suggesting time and again that his own policies, managerial naïveté and lack of private sector experiences are not culpable for his difficulties; he is simply doing the best that can be done with the cards he was dealt. Uh-oh … looks like

The amazing thing isn’t that
Forty-one months of over 8% unemployment; twenty-three million citizens unemployed; more than two hundred days since he met with his Jobs Council; and a 41% increase of welfare … Hope and Change → Hoax and Chains → Hope for a real change!
Just as the It is understandable that this thread preaches to the choir but it has to be asked of anyone who — after witnessing the three-and-a-half years of failed policies, unfettered deficit spending and unprecedented string of broken promises which will burden citizens yet to be born — willfully supports Barrack Hussein Obama II for re-election … WHY?
Washington can’t be changed from the inside and, according to
| Only? Funny, Reagan inherited a worse situation from Carter and started turning things around within 17 months. I do wonder, if Obama manages to get a 2nd term, will he finally take ownership of the economy or continue to blame Bush... | |
| Perhaps Obama hoped/hopes for a citizens' uprising so change will come from outside Washington. Remember, he did call for a citizen corps as well-equipped and well-trained as the military, though I haven't heard any calls as of late. As a community organizer he was able to rouse the crowds through class warfare rhetoric, etc. and did not have to work with any group to get things done. He only needed to arouse emotions and step back, no real commitment required on his part to persuade the opposition. Jim | |
| Sounds like Hitler and the Nazi Party, fire up the people!! God forbid we end up with four more years of the Obama Circus, but if we do, he'll find some one else to blame his leadership shortcomings on. People like that always do. | |
| JFK: "Ask not what your country can do for you..." Fifty years later, the country has become an entitlement nation. People expect the government to *give* them things. Government assistance (welfare, food stamps, subsidized housing) was meant to be a a safety net, to give people a hand up, so they could better themselves. It was never meant to be a permanent way of life. Obama talks about making higher education affordable, so young people can graduate and get "good paying jobs". Problem with that is 50% of grads can't find jobs in their field. And why want to earn more when it's just going to be taxed at a higher rate under his tax plan? He talks about math, science, engineering, but primary education no longer prepares HS grads for those fields of study. | |
Constitutional Republic or Utopian Socialism: individual liberties with the freedom for all to prosper or a tyranical bureaucracy with confiscatory taxes for the purpose of redistribution. In 2008, Barack Hussein
| Obama's big accomplishment: he gave the order to get bin Laden (a "no brainer" for the majority of Americans, but a "tough call" for him). At least that turned out better than Carter's failed Tehran Embassy hostage rescue attempt ... | |

| |
| He is totally out of touch. His goal is to enslave eveyone through reliance on government handouts. Lacey, you mentioned the killing of Osama bin Laden (great job by our SEALs) for which Obama has taken all the credit. But, look at the way he and his staff failed to act upon the attack in Benghazi which cost four Americans their lives. The response was NO response during their time of need. Jim | |
| Well, I think if it had come out that he had a chance to get bin Laden and didn't, he would have pissed off a lot of people, especially the survivors and families of victims of Sept 11, 2001. Benghazi is just mind boggling. There was certainly something this admin could have done to prevent it, or stop it while it was going on. I was kind of amused when the Libyan president said it was planned and the WH was warned. Oopsie! And then the "Stand down" orders became public. That's what happens when you try to throw people who know, under the bus. I'd believe the Libyan president and the CIA before this admin. :) | |
| I don't believe the current administration can be trusted on any account. Lacey, you referenced the chance to get bin Laden and not taking it. I have heard several times it took Obama three times to get the courage to order the strike to take him out. Jim | |
| I read years ago, in a New York Post article, that Clinton was offered bin Laden 3 times, and all 3 times, he did nothing. While 9/11/01 may have still happened if Clinton had taken action, we will never know what would have happened if he had. As it was, we had the first WTC bombing, the Khobar Towers bombing, the Kenya and Tanzania US Embassy bombings, and the USS Cole bombing, during Bill's watch. Under Obama, on US soil, we've had the Ft Hood shootings, the Underwear Bomber's attempt (unsuccessful because the bomb maker didn't know what he was doing), the Times Square Bomber's attempt, and the Federal Reserve Bank Bomber's attempt. If you consider a US Consulate and/or Embassy to be a sovereign piece of American territory, then Benghazi and all the other Embassies attacked in the Middle East are included in attacks on America. This should be reason enough to charge him with malfeasance. He says he wants to "bring to justice, those responsible" but he doesn't seem to be looking, and he should have taken decisive action when it happened. But Obama doesn't have the intestinal fortitude. | |
Exactly LACEY~ … and let’s not forget the terroristic murder — oops, drive-by shooting — at the US Army Recruiting Office in Little Rock.
| |
| Obama wants to deny that al-Qaeda is as strong and as active as ever; that they are still a threat. Because if he admitted it, he would be admitting he failed. He has failed though. Not admitting it doesn't make it any less so. | |
| Lacey, my initial reaction was to agree with Obama is a failure. However, what if the events which have occurred (all terrorist acts, by the way) are exactly what he intended? Could we, in fact, have a Manchurian candidate in the White House? On a different point, I heard on The Roger Hedgecock Show today General Hamm of AFRICOM defied orders to stand down and had 16 men and an aircraft at the ready to fly to Libya to relieve or assist the SEALs and security team in Benghazi when his second in command walked in and relieved General Hamm of his command and ordered the mission aborted. That order had to come from on high. I don't know the exact source but Roger Hedgecock said he had information from numerous sources, including residents from the neighborhood surrounding the consulate compound, about what occurred during the attack on the consulate. | At last only a few more days of this. We were left with crushing debt. Congress changed hands. Deadlock and brinksmanship. Senate minority leader pledges to kill any bill by this president. One unnecessary war. Borrowed to pay for it. Education was cut, Programs not funded. World problems that some seem to think we are not affected by. Jobs are gone because employers afraid to hire. People mad as hell over spending so they put in tea baggers who hold their collective breath til they get their way. Don't want to listen to anybody. It's all the Democrats fault. Reach across the aisle and get your hand cut off. Disagree with your own party (R) and lose a committee seat or worse. The congress has the real power not the president. So love to see what Romney can do with a split congress. Same as now. | |
| Death of Bin Laden. Bush had him in his sights but called off the kill. Sixty Minutes broadcast. CBS archive. Go look at it. Our mission was to get Bin Laden not do all the other stuff we are doing now. Afghanistan and other countries have no idea what democracy is and yet we thrust it down their throats. We killed Bin Laden like it or not. Who takes credit for it. We need to get the hell out. |
