 THE BAADER MEINHOF COMPLEX (2008): The striking opening scene of this true-life political thriller features a man, his wife and their two young daughters enjoying a day on a European nude beach. There's also some coed nude rooftop sunbathing later in the film.

CASTAWAY (1987): Literally moments after being voluntarily stranded on a deserted island for a year, Amanda Donohoe strips naked, sets up camp on the beach and begins brewing tea. She spends the rest of the movie either nude or topless, exploring the entire island including its rather muddy interior. Her sole companion in this social experiment (a sexually-frustrated Oliver Reed) doesn't handle the isolation as well and has a mental breakdown. Not to be confused with the Tom Hanks film of the same name.

EDUCATING JULIE (1984): While doing a research paper on "Nudism In The 80's", Gail Ward visits naturist destinations in England, France and Florida. There's a lovely scene of her exercising on the beach at Cap d'Agde at dusk, and later she and her boyfriend stroll the beach at Paradise Lakes near Tampa.

L'ANNEE DES MEDUSES (1984): The topless beaches and private pools of the Cote d'Azur are enormously inviting in this psychological drama starring Valerie Kaprisky. The title means "Year Of The Jellyfish".

MORE (1969): While visiting the beaches of Ibiza, heroin-addicted couple Mimsy Farmer & Klaus Grunberg enjoy some naked spear-fishing and sunbathing. The excellent soundtrack is by Pink Floyd.

1969 (1988): This Vietnam-era stateside drama features a sequence in which Kiefer Sutherland & Robert Downey Jr. stumble across a group of friendly hippies who are camping naked on a secluded beach. Although most of the movie is set in Maryland, this scene was actually filmed on Tybee Island GA, not far from where I live.

ONE DAY (2011): Anne Hathaway & Jim Sturgess express mild outrage when they realize the beach they're visiting is adjacent to a nude beach... yet they indulge in a bit of skinny-dipping a short while later when they find themselves at a deserted pool after dark.

SUMMER LOVERS (1982): Daryl Hannah, Peter Gallagher & the late Valerie Quennessen cavort on the nude beaches, grottoes and sun-splashed balconies of Greece in this cheesy but fun flick. Peter's impromptu naked cliff dive is spectacular. (Of course, since this is a Hollywood product, threesomes must eventually occur... but not on the beach)

UNDER THE SAND (2001): While searching a French beach for her missing husband, a swimsuit-clad Charlotte Rampling encounters a young couple who are enjoying the beach in the nude. She doesn't bat an eye and neither do they.

 Thank you. I've seen Summer Lovers and Under the Sand. I've heard of Castaway. A Couple of the others I never have. Do you know where More can be found?

 CASTAWAY, EDUCATING JULIE and L'ANNEE DES MEDUSES are somewhat rare... I saw all three on VHS years ago. You may be able to track 'em down at Amazon.Com or eBay. Netflix should have the rest of the films I mentioned on DVD (probably not streaming).
