Michigan Nudists 5K at Turtle Lake on June 16
| Can you register the day of the event or do you have to sign up in advance? I hope to go but not sure of my work schedule yet | |
| I'm pretty sure you can sign up the day of the event. Last year my daughter had sprained her ankle and didn't think she could run. When we got there she changed her mind and ended up winning the ladies' division. | |
| I plan on going to Turtle Lake on saturday for the 5K run. This will be my first 5K so I thought I might as well do it nude. Is anyone else planning on going? | |

| My first 5K was a success. I wasn't fast but I wasn't last either. Met some others who were doing their 5K nude and a couple of women who were runners but was their first time running nude. One of them in fact won the womwan's division. It was interesting to get their perspective of being nude in public for the first time. She told me when she and her friend first got there, their first reaction was oh look that person is nude, oh look there is someone else nude. after getting undressed themselves and about ten of fifteen minutes of being nude their reaction became look there is someone with clothes on. | Indy, the race started at 10 so it was really hot. I had to slow down so not to overheat. Jk, I think I saw you walking around but I didn't remember from nc until I logged into nc today. Maybe next years race we will meet. Congratulations on your 5k. | |
| Glad to hear that it went fairly well for you guys. Running in the heat isn't much fun, thats a bummer that it got started so late. 8am start would have been much better. Do you have a number as far as how many participants. I e-mailed TLR a couple months ago and asked them if they would be interested in running 2 events a year. They said it would depend on participation. I've got my fingers crossed. Again, congratulations to all the Nude 5k finishers. Well done. | |
| kj176 and Dave, would you guys be interested in running another 5k maybe towards the end of summer when the temps are a little cooler? Maybe if we had enough people interested in it they would host another race. Just a thought! | |

| I just checked the TLR website and they do have a fall run planned for Sept 15. | |
