Does Being a Nudist Take the Thrill Out of Life?

I was working outside nude the other day and realized that for me it is a normal event and I don't get any excitement from it. When a textile takes their clothes off outside in the open or better yet in front of other non-intimate people it is often the greatest exhilaration of their lives. To me being nude outside or in front of other people is normal and I tend to forget I don't have clothes on. Not a very unique event for me.

On the other side of the coin, a textile enjoys clothes and looks forward to buying, putting on, and admiring how clothes look on themselves. Clothes make them happy. I find clothes to be uncomfortable and somewhat silly unless I'm cold, and I don't enjoy them at all.

I suppose there are other ways to be exhilarated besides through clothing, but it is a very cheap and convenient way to achieve it for many textiles and I can be somewhat envious of that at times. However, I wouldn't trade it for the freedom of being a nudist. Has anyone else lost the thrill of being nude?

Perhaps because i'm still a relative newbie (about two years now) and ave to wear clothes at work and elsewhere I stil do find it exhilirating to get nude when possible, whether alone or with others.

I don't get any particular thrill from disrobing in front of others. It just feels normal at this point but I do very much enjoy being among other nudists when possible.

because i have been nude all my life, when i am at home, whether inside or outside, it's just my normal way to be. i am very careful when outside so as not to let my neighbors that can see me. but i look foward to every weekend when i get to go to my home club, carolina foothills, and be with other nudists. it's still exciting to be around others when we are all nude, playing vollyball in the pool, or just sitting around and talking. that's what i look foward to every week.

If you're talking about the adrenaline rush of "newbie nudity"; no, I haven't felt that in a long time. When I get to the beach, pick a spot and take my clothes off, what I feel is more a sense of relief and relaxation. The fact that other people can see me nude and vice versa is now a mere afterthought.
But that doesn't mean I no longer get any kind of rush. When I go strolling or wading around Mazo, I definitely get a rush from my body experiencing the elements without hindrance. A breeze passing over my entire body, the sand between my toes, and the various movements of my body as I pick up and slow down my walking pace. It reminds me of the "quickening" in the Highlander movie. Which has more to do with heightened awareness and the "kick" that comes from that.

Being nude is and has been for over 38 yrs ... a normal way of life for us. I agree that being nude can lose it "thrill" but for us ... it never really was a "thrill", except for the very beginning. It just became a way we lived.

Our "thrill" still surfaces when we visit new places. We still get that thrill when we visit a nude beach, our nude beach or a new club, resort or our friend's homes.

New surroundings can still give you that initial thrill of being nude. But ... at home, everyday... sure, it can lose that thrill but ... we wouldn't change it.

No, just makes it more comfortable and real.

Like FireProf, I still have "pinch me" moments to insure I am not dreaming. For example, like when I was standing in the surf at the Hidden Beach Resort and all the little fish swimming around my feet and legs... there I was totally nude totally in sync with nature and in an unbelievable beautiful setting...wow, pinch me please.

Thrill out of life? No.
Thrill out of nudity? Yes.
My textile friends think it's awesome that I can go nude with other people. But for me it's just my normal routine.

For me, nudism brings back a thrill to life that I was otherwise missing. My weekly visits to the nudist resort give me a reason to wake up during the weekend and be active.

Also, the nudist resort also makes me appreciate the body I have whereas I was very self conscious about my looks before. By many of my friends' admission: I might have become the next Red Dragon were it not for nudity bringing me at peace with my appearances.

No I would say it enhances my life. I enjoy hiking naked in the woods especially a treat if the sun is shinning and the temp is right. I feel so much more in tune with my natural surroundings like I am a part of the natural world not just out in nature but that I am part of nature. I find that this sense of peace and tranquility which descends upon me allows my mind to work on ideas and problems that have been troubling my subconscious mind. I often get an whole new outlook on things and go back into the textile world feeling more relaxed and recharged for whatever life throws at me.

Absolutely not. When I can take off the clothes it is like removing the repression of society. If I was always bare I think life would feel a little better all the time.

Does being a nudist take the Thrill out of life? Yes and No.
Yes, I cant enjoy my everyday life with errands, etc while being nude!!
No, because I can enjoy my Home time nude for the most part, just wish I could be nude even more at home, but due to my step-daughter being here I have to be more cautious around her being here....

It all depends on ones definition of "thrill." If you mean a "rush" like in a real spike in your adrenaline I would say that never happened with me. If I want that kind of thrill I will just drive on over to East St. Louis and walk down a dark alley and see what I can find. Being a nudist definitely does NOT take the thrill out of life for me. I enjoy it like I have always enjoyed it and I have been a nudist for over 40 years and a member of AANR(ASA) for 35 years. I know some nudist who go to such lengths as skydiving out of airplanes. Now that is what I would call taking nudism to a thrill level. I have never done that and I think I will pass on that one. Most things in life are really a state of mind--what you like or don't like, your values, even what you consider a thrill.

No, if anything, it has brought a new thrill to my life through self awareness, and being more natural than before.
