"The Quarry" in So. Oregon
| This location desrves more publicity. It is a BLM recreational site about 15 miles NE of Ashland via Dead Indian Memorial Road, and is popular with local nudists. Originally a rock quarry, it was flooded by an underground stream, and has a small lake suitable for swimming. It can be seen on Google Earth just to the north of Howard Prairie Lake, off Keno Rd. near its intersection with Dead Indian Memorial Road. An information icon on Google Earth identifies it as BLM recreational site #37, with the name "Lake Dick", although this name does not seem to be generally used. Pay us a visit! |
