Absolute Naturists Go Topless Day
| 2012 marks GoTopless' fifth anniversary and this year GoTopless day will fall exactly on Women's Equality Day, Aug 26. Topless rallies will take place in countries around the world. Please see our list of participating cities below and feel free to contact us if you wish to organize an event where you live. In the US, the main topless rally will take place in Washington DC in front of the White House. See our article on our news page for more details. What happens during a Gotopless rally? During the protests, women will have the choice of going fully topless or wear red tape or something else to hide their (infamous!) nipples. They are also completely welcome to come and support this cause while being fully dressed if they prefer. To show their support, men are encouraged to wear a bikini top since we are standing up for topless constitutional equality. Either we can all be topless or no one can. Bikinis will be available on location. The march will end with a speech and entertainment. We had a very lively and supportive discussion on this previously (Topless Equality, check it out) so I hope that many of you can participate and really support the cause. I am going to try to make the Seattle protest. In any event, I will be Topless (probably nude since we are on the boat in South Sound WA) wherever we are at in supportive hope that we can someday soon have equality in this respect. It just seems so crazy not to. I think it would be really cool if all our Absolute Naturist female members could post a topless picture and the men post a picture with a bikin top on to support he cause. Shall we try it? | |
| Does Silent Support count? We will not be anywhere close to any of the formal Rallys to support the day, so We will be doing our own Support for the cause!! LOL! Might even get some pictures to post.... | |
| That would work... Actually supporting a cause like this is not only a one day thing, that is done for media attention and focus. We all can and should support this cause everyday in what we say and do. The same applies to social nudity. | |

| Also through the GoTopless.org site there is a link to a petition that they will be putting to the lawmakers at the DC rally. Unfortunately there won't be a protest rally in Houston where my girlfriend and I will be on the 26th. There's one in Austin though. Not much chance of getting there this time I don't think. I hope they can accomplish something. |
