What now for the show me state ?
We have elected a fool in the senate primary race & he won't get out even after all of the GOP royalty & El Rushbo tells him it is in the best interest of the country to get out of the race.

Air Clair McCaskil must be defeated if we the people have any hope of repealing Berry care. Missouri is a must win this November !

Sara Palin is pushing for a 3rd party canidate to run against him. I'm afraid that will split the vote & McCaskil will have a easy win.

What to do ?

Firstly, let’s establish that the comment made on the Jaco Report by US Rep. Wm Todd Akin [R-MO²] regarding legitimate rape was reprehensible, ill-advised and smacks of misogyny. That said, we should now turn towards the big picture: electing Willard Mitt Romney president, strengthening the GOP majority in the House of Representatives and returning the Senate to Republican control.

Akin’s remarks were stupid and unfortunate but he has decided to stay in the race to unseat Sen. Claire McCaskill [D-MO]. Though many in the Republican establishment originally supported Akin over other well-qualified primary candidates yet now call for him to step aside, conservatives must focus on beating the ass-backwards зviƨƨзяgoяq juggernaut that is bent on destroying this country. We may not necessarily agree that his decision to continue his campaign was the best but it is immeasurably more important to defeat McCaskill than to NOT support Akin.

The future of the United States of America is at stake. We need to restore the American Dream and not let it be replaced with the Dreams of My [Absent Communist Hate-filled Drunken Atheist] Father. We must retire the gaffe-o-matic vice-president who spews vile racial affronts as jocularities. We have to send to the back benches the doddering senate majority leader that cares more for his pomegranate trees than passing a congressional budget or bringing substantive GOP bills to the floor; and we must stop liberal rubber-stamps like Claire McCaskill along with the rest of her ilk who want to continue the downward spiral of the country by supporting OBAMAsCARE, the $timuME$$, et al.

There will be resentment that Congressman Akin didn’t resign and step down from the race but that’s over now and we must support him if we are serious about wanting to take the Senate. There is an imperial presidency which is usurping the Constitution at every opportunity; a complicit Senate and a weak House which facilitate his imperious actions; and a Judiciary that enables the dismantling of the separation of powers. Given McCaskill’s own scandals that the DemocЯAT-controlled media all but ignores and low popularity amongst her constituents going into this contest, along with the resulting drop of support for Todd Akin, a third-party candidacy may have a chance; the next couple weeks will tell.

Akin seems to have a very large ego. I've heard his apology and re-apology on both radio and TV. I will acept the fact he is truly sorry for his words. However, he should realize he has lost GOP support and will have no chanc of defeating Claire McCaskill after his verval gaffe.

At the same time, there is definitely a double standard since no Democrat would be asked to step down (Joe Biden's "ya'll in chains" comment is an example). The Republicans do seem to show a sense of propriety but it seems to always work against them and costs conservatives in the end.

Andy, you're right, we need to regain control in Washington so we can reclaim our country before it is too late.

Jim
Difference between the two is that Akin made a completely stupid ass state and should step down. Biden is just plain stupid and should stay on. He will just help Romney/Ryan with his natural ability to speak.

Akin need to get an offer from the party that is the form of one Vito Corleone would make.

There has been some talk today about Kit Bond coming out of retirement to run as a third party.

We can only hope that this will happen, he would have a easy win, Missouri loves Bond, Kit Bond !

Question: Which is more repugnant, a dumb comment stated once by a senatorial nominee or a political party that regurgitates and envelops every one of their 2012 campaigns in that legitimate rape quote?

An abhorrent radio advert retches the familiar line and perpetuates the jackass party’s reflective fabrications.

Seriously? Fauxcahontas is standing to try to unseat Sen. Scott Brown [R-MA] yet this desperate candidate needs to reach for another campaign 1400 miles away to look for mud? … And she is not alone. From municipalities down to Chicago-based David Axelrod’s vitriol-filled management of the presidential re-election bid, the party of the jackass has lost what little respect they had left after the last five election cycles. Turn on any cable news or comedy channel and see one or more of the odious zero logo blabbermouth segregates evoking legitimate rape as they are barfing the new slogan from the DemoCRAPS’ daily talking points. Pull their string and hear the phrase … pull their string and hear it again.

A third party would present its own concerns. As for the election, another conservative candidate could effectively split the vote and give Claire McCaskill the victory. If the tertiary should win, (s)he does reduce the number of Democrat senators by one (good) but it does not add to the Republican count (null). Like Sen. Joseph Isadore Lieberman [I-MA], an independent senator from Missouri can choose to caucus with the GOP but, sans party affiliation, his/her effectiveness is limited. This is how a two-party system works.

You're right, Andy. Typical Democrat BS. They have nothing else to run on since they have screwed up the economy so badly and the great O continues to step all over himself about how much the private sector needs more government and the evil rich just needs to pay their fair share.

I read an item this morning in which I've since deleted in which Health Secretary Sebilius said the reduction in population (abortions on demand, government mandated birth control, etc) will actually offset costs by making it less expensive for insurance companies who'd otherwise have to pay for sick children.

As I recall, Obama at some point actually suggested the elderly should seek cheaper alternatives such as pain medications to help make their end of life more comfortable and sooner than asking for costly medical procedures so more could be provided to the younger generations. But, if you reduce population growth at both ends who's left to receive all this wonderful Obamacare? Oh, that's right, the elists who created it.
