All of the pictures I have posted so far have been done with my iPhone.
Thank you for allowing me to join this group, I am nowhere near a pro, but I do dabble in photography some, but only for my own enjoyment. Rarely do I get a pic that is worth sharing IMO.

Rollercoaster94 posted under another topic in this group that "The best camera is the one that you have with you". There is a lot of truth in that statement. My iPhone is always with me and much easier to carry than my DSLR. That being said, I use my iPhone camera often for all types of photos including nudes. My profile photo is a self-portrait shot with my iPhone at Haulover Beach last year. Much less obvious than the “big” camera that I didn’t have with me anyway.

I am one of the few who owns a Windows7 phone. I am very happy with this phone, but I did hit one awkward gotcha when using it to take nude photographs. I am curious to know if the iPhone has any similar issues.

Microsoft makes it easy to, and encourages you, to link the phone with a SkyDrive account for storing photos in the cloud. Then whenever I take a photo, the phone automatically uploads the photo to my SkyDrive storage if I am in a WiFi zone. Great! Perfect! Just what I wanted!

BUT ... after a few days of using my phone to take photos at the nudist resort, the uploads suddenly stopped working and I could not access any of my uploaded photos. Would you believe that Microsoft explicitly prohibits the use of their facilities for storage of any materials which "depicts nudity of any sort including full or partial human nudity" ? (I copied those words from Microsoft's "Code of conduct" document ... a document I had not read in advance. Who does?)

Aaargh! Darned puritans. After carefully reading their usage policy, I have now switched to using DropBox for uploaded nude photos.

Is it only Microsoft which blocks nude photos?

Hi there, I have been using my HTC phone to take pics and since I have no one else to do it for me, they are the funny self portraits in the mirror. I usually just email them to myself or save them in my downloads on my phone that way it doesn't take up too much of your phone memory. Have a great week! :)
Nh525, the iPhone has a cloud feature, but I don't link the camera to it. I download direct to a computer. I use the cloud to sync some documents, but not photos, mainly because iPhone photos are large and I'm space limited with the free cloud service. Also, I want as little personal information floating around the ether as possible not just nude photos. The interesting part about what you posted is that Microsoft is going through your personal information stored in your own account. Not cool. On iPhone your photos are encrypted while in transit to the cloud and while on the server, but I don't trust in absolute security.

Even though my iPhone is used for 90% of my photography I avoid taking photos on it that the textile world would have an irrational fear of. I use my phone for business and have been known to attach the wrong documents to emails by mistake.
