I was wondering how other nudists break the news to people they live with. I'm looking for a bit of guidance I guess on how I can tell my father about living as a nudist and enjoying nudism now that I live back with him in his 'golden years'. It's just the two of us at home and I just don't know how to start the conversation. He has made comments in the past about how he doesn't understand how anyone can wonder around the house nude and feel ok with that. Any help out there?

The "older" generation is quite conservative and set in their ways. It's difficult to get them to even talk about subjects they are uncomfortable with.

The easiest way to break the news is to be honest and upfront. "Dad, ... I need to talk to you about something that's important to me. I need you to be open minded and not judge and let me speak before you cast judgment. Will you do that for me?"

Hopefully, he'll respond positively and listen to what you have to say. You'll have to have done your homework so that you'll have postive answers to his questions about the lifestyle and what it really means. He's probably already has preconceived ideas of what we are about and you'll need to dispell those.

Good luck.

My parents were conservative. My mother especially. I could not understand why something that felt so good was bad. So had to go nude when they were not at home. Later in life told my parents we, ex and I were nudists, they took it kind of well. "You do what you like to do", was her comment. We were now adults so she could not say or do anything about it
