This is my husband’s account, but I wanted to tell my story. About two months ago our son went to PK/MK camp. My husband had stayed at a nearby nudist resort before when our son was at camp. The resort is only 20 minutes from the camp, while home is 2 ½ hours away. I did not want to stay at home by myself this year so I asked if I could go. I did not know what to expect, but I thought we would be out of the camp most of the time and I would spend the rest of time in the cabin. Now I have been to clothing optional resorts and gone topless, but the thought of being seen nude makes me uncomfortable.

We arrived Friday in the late afternoon after dropping our son off; the temp was cool so we stayed in the cabin. My husband quickly removed his clothes and I got into night clothes trying to stay warm. We settled in at the dining table in our cabin and were treated to the opening ceremony of the Olympics on our neighbors outside television.

Saturday morning we went out early to hike (clothed) in the nearby national forest. We returned to the resort to shower and then get breakfast in town. We were next to the very open communal showers, but it was to open for me so we went down to the separate men’s/women’s showers. They’re still communal, just a room with 3 showerheads, but at least a man won’t walk in. I got undressed and went to turn on the shower. Guess what. . . I couldn’t figure out how to get it working. I heard my husband talking to the maintenance man over in the men’s area. At first I thought now I have to get dressed, oh wait I can just use my towel as a wrap. But I was still very sweaty from the hike. So I decided, what the heck, it’s not that big a deal. So I walked into the men’s shower area nude and asked for help. I had thought men would just stare at me, part of the reason I had not gone nude. It was so liberating. The maintenance man looked up once and went back to working on the faucet he was fixing. I realized I had probably worried for no reason.

We spent rest of the morning walking around the resort, lounging at the pool, and we even had lunch in the picnic area. Right after lunch we drove to town and bought a couple of cheap tennis racquets, we had left our pro ones at home. I think this was the best part of the day, playing nude tennis. Only problem is, no pocket for the balls! We showered after and then hung out by the pool the rest of the afternoon. We did karaoke in the evening.

On Sunday, we spent time at the pool all by ourselves, no one else came out till after 11:00. We finished our stay with more nude tennis, took showers, and said our good-byes to the people we met. All this made for a wonderful weekend for a first time experience!

What a great story, Ms Paladin. I assume, baed upon your account, you're looking forward to a return trip sometime in the future, right?

Talked with my wife, she is open to another trip. Nudity would depend on who is present. She does not feel comfortable in front of children. I think this comes from our long involvement in children/youth ministry. Baby steps.

Congratulations, paladin. It seems you and your wife are on your way to enjoying this wondeful way of living totally free. Perhaps in time she'll also discover nudity in the presence of children is no big deal.
