Tattooed Nudes
First tattoo
| I just turned 60 on September 1. I have wanted a tattoo for almost 30 years but ex said no way. Remember he is an ex. Anyway the last few years I have been short on money and it wasn't a priority in my life. Well, for my birthday my son, daughter and their spouses got me a gift certificate for one at a local shop in town. I was excited and nervous at the same time. I went the next day to make an appointment and showed the young lady what it was that I wanted. It's a blue butterfly with pink spots and long tails. It only took about an hour for it to be done. It didn't hurt for the first 45 minutes, but then when she went over some spots to do the definition it started to smart like a wasp bite. But it was only for about ten minutes. She said I did well because I didn't move around and make it harder for her. When she put the ointment on at the end it felt great. While it was healing the skin did a little tight but not painful. It only took ten days to totally heal and feel soft again. I really would like to get another one somewhere done the line. This time with my children's names and my grandkids names on feathers. I can hardly wait to do this again. | |
| Congrats, on your first tattoo! You know they're addicting..lol. The next thing we'll see is a post that says," I just got my sixth tattoo"... | |
| My first tattoo I did myself while in High School. I used a sewing needle, thread through the eye, wrapped and dipped in Indian Ink. I Tattooed My girl friends name between my 1st finger and thumb, We got married in late 1970, had two wonder kids.. | |
| Once I can afford one, i'll be get some ink of my own. I'm looking forward to it. | |
| Scottoro, please do your research and make sure of the tattoo you want. There is no great rush to get "inked". I find it's easiest if I design my tattoo and then I find the artist that will do the best job. | |
| I'm still "researching". | |
| Scottoro, the thing about tattoos is that they can be just a neat design or mean something special. If it's the design you're after, remember your tastes may change as you get older. If it's the meaning you want to project, it could be about someone other than you, and again, remember that person may not be in your life forever. If it's about your character or personality, don't make it so obtuse that your closes friends don't even know the meaning. Hope this helps you decide. And keep us posted. | |
| I like things of Asian origin. Words have significance in Asian languages. Right now, I have the Japanese kanji for dragon on my right arm. I want to get the kanji for tiger on my left arm. Dragon Tiger has different meanings. For me it basically translates to "inner strength". |
