debate pounding
| What was your thoughts of the first debate ! Mitt let him have it ! The man child was held accountable for the first time in his life, & it wasn't pretty. | |
| I'm not good at reading body language and so failed to pick up on most of what was pointed out - the prsident looking down, etc. However, I did see him tighten his jaw and shake his head a couple of times (while looking down), maybe because his notes weren't up to speed. On the other hand, Mitt Romney looked ready and presidential in my opinion. It's been said Romney went through intense rehearsals while the president's schedule was busy. Well, let's see, he did find time, repeatedly, to campaign across the country. Sunday, he campaigned in Las Vegas before settling in at Lake Las Vegas. Tuesday, he went to see Hoover Dam his first time, according to the local new then left Las Vegas en route to Denver after 11:00 AM yesterday morning. Michelle, meanwhile, went to Reno yesterday morning before flying to Denver to join her husband in Denver for last night's debate. Let's give the president the benefit of the doubt and say he was distracted because yesterday was his and Michelle's 20th wedding anniversary - congratulations, but he got a drumming last night. | I enjoyed how Mitt was on top of things and gave specifics for his plans. It was amusing to see Obama get called to the carpet for his less than truthful statements. | |
| I just hope Romney doesn't take this as "I've got this election wrapped up" and stop pushing his points and ease up on this sorry excuse for a POTUS. Romney needs to hit the campaign trail harder than ever. | |
| Well, considering Romney was hammered in the MSM, and Dem SuperPAC ads, before the debate, and is being grudgingly given the win, by some Dems, in last night's debate, I think he knows what he needs to do to take the White House. | |
| I only saw about the first 30 minutes, the section about the economy. I was listening to Obama rattle off all these ideas for creating jobs and boosting the economy, when suddenly it occured to me (and I wish Romney would have asked this), but why didn't he do these things during his first term???? Especially when he had control of both the House and Senate. | |
| Yet, you have Al Gore blaming the altitude for the President's poor performance. It's not enough the President keeps blaming Bush for every evil in the world but Gore blaming altitude?! What's next, blaming the full moon? The Dems need to stop blaming things and stand up, claim responsibility and LEAD! I would respect the President more if he was just honest ... "Hey folks, I screwed up; I'd really like a "do over. "Yes, I lied to get into office. Yes, things are worse than when I started. Yes, the rest of the world is shaking their heads at us, wondering what the hell happened to the U.S. Yes, I'll raise your taxes. Yes, my Obamacare plan has major problems. Yes, I can't or won't defend out boarders ... but I can hit a chip shot for par and sink a three point shot." | |
| I believe Obama and Romney are very intelligent in the use of educated rhetoric. Experts in using "He said-She said." The speeches were well written to impress the watchers. Let's see what happens when all is said and done, when the print falls from the paper. | |
| I'm surprised GW Bush wasn't blamed for how badly Obama did in the debate. I mean it is Bush's fault for how badly Obama's first term has gone, right??? | |
| Check out www.dickmorris.com for his take on the debate and today an article on Swing State Polls Rigged. | |
| I receive Dick Morris e-mails daily. It is good to see how the folks have taken to Mitt. He has closed the deal in most of the swing states, as Dick has said many times the polls are rigged to favor the Dems & truth be known Mitt is most likely ahead in the majority of the states. If Mitt can repeat his last debate performance in the next two debates it will be a done deal! Paul Ryan will field dress Joe Gaff a minute Biden without any problem. That debate is must watch television! | |
| Like most people, I was impressed by Romney's performance. What is even more amazing to me is that Romney still has many cards he hasn't even played yet. I hope Obama brings up Bain Capital ... Romney will clean his clock on that one as well! | |
| It seems Obama's only success, so far, is authorizing the move on bin Laden. That doesn't make up for the Ft Hood shootings, the Underwear Bomber, the Times Square Bomber, his lack of response to the BP oil spill, Solyndra, his delay in touring Hurricane Isaac's damage, paltry economic growth, his lack of outrage over the attacks on our Middle East embassies, and the resulting murders of 4 embassy workers including a US Ambassador, etc, etc. | |
| It blows me away how anyone can look at what this individual has done (or not done) the past four years, and even consider giving him four more. | |
| Those who think the government should be their benefactor (at the expense of taxpayers) will. They're unwilling to look at the truth and understand nothing is truly free. As acknowledged by Mitt Romney, there are those who truly need either a hand-up or perpetual care due to situations beyond their control. However, there is a class who believes they're entitled and will cheat the system to benefit themselves at the expense of others. Jim |
