| Was wondering what peoples experience has been with finding someone online to date that was involved in nudism. | |
| I can't say I've had much luck, but then living in New York, it's difficult to find too many nudists. I've "met" quite a few people, but have yet to be able to cross the distance to actually meet in "real life". I've also found that many MANY people that post on some of those sites are looking simply for sex-- definitely have the wrong idea of what being a nudist is about. | |

| I've met several women thru internet dating sites, but have yet to meet with a nudist - or someone willing to "give it a try". My being a naturist actually scared away a couple of women... One said she could never be brave enough to attempt it; the other said nudism is perverted. No third date with that one. | Internet dating for nudists?? Does that exist. So far the single women seem to be a small percentage on the web. Either that just get off showing breasts, are scared into hiding, or looking for mr perfect. Not sure what the ideal solution would be, but it all takes time. | |

You are more than welcome to post such an event in this group. | I am new to the group. I live near Dothan, Alabama. This is not really a nudist friendly area but it is close to Florida. It is still a pretty long drive to most of the nudist clubs though. As far as I know there is only 1 landed club in Alabama and they don't allow single men. I don't know of any non landed clubs in the area. I would really like to meet real nudists nearby as friends to visit. I would really like to meet nudist women to date but I don't honestly think that's very likely here. I do know that there are other nudists in the area because I have chatted with them online but getting someone to meet in person is like pulling teeth. In the meantime I would be happy to meet nudists from this group. I have had similar experiences to Manormeow about many of the people you chat with are mostly interested in sex. I guess that's just human nature. While I do enjoy sex I am really looking for much more. I am a pretty patient person and I plan to keep looking. Billy | |

| Well, I agree it's difficult to meet a single nudist. There are single men at the clubs, but are they really single or are their wives refusing to attend with them?? I've been on singlenudist.com as well as other dating sights and have had no luck. I think I'll just find another way to meet someone and tell them upfront that I'm a nudist as it's a big part of my life. I live in a clothing optional neighborhood next to a nudist resort and my social life revolves around the resort. I feel very comfortable there, but I've been going there for years. I also visit Cypress Cove where I feel very comfortable too. I refuse to get involved with a man who isn't interested in nudism. I know a lot of people who've met their SO through the internet, but I don't think it's for everyone. To me it seems cold and judging people solely on the way they look. I prefer to meet someone on my own and get to know them the old fashioned way. | |
| I've tried nudist dating sites, but I quickly found out that the female nudists rarely to never responded to the messages or friend requests. I just want to scream to the top of my lungs, "NOT EVERY SINGLE MAN ON A NUDIST SITE IS A F*CKING SEX HOUND!!!" And if that's what you really think, then why are you on this type of dating site. | I have had one date with a nudist woman. It turned out very well. We went to her group hot tub potluck and I had a wonderful time with all. I would like to think that happens all the time but I know better. After the pot luck we went the next day to Pirates cove beach near Santa Maria. Weather was great and the beach was superb. I will be meeting up with her again to have another adventure in my neck of the woods. Just lucky, I guess. | |

| Despite some negative comments to the contrary, SingleNudists.com works! That is where my wife and I met five years ago. And we were not neighbors just a few blocks apart. At the time she was working in southern California and I was in northern Washington, just about as far apart as one can get and still be on the west coast. As it so happens, big iron birds (airplanes) fly all over this country and it was a snap to jump on one to fly down and meet her. The rest is history, as they say. So dump the doom-and-gloom attitude that it will never work for you?if I did it, anyone can. | I've had wonderful luck with dating sites and I live in the boonies. Since my divorce 22 years ago - when I thought I'd forever be one of the single stag line at nudist resorts I've introduced about THIRTY women to nudism. They love it! Just explain about it straight up and they've been eager to try it and glad to have someone along with them. Ain't no big deal. I've used different internet services. Used to be able to search for key words, like nudist, on Match.com I just finally signed up with eharmony and included the fact I'm a nudist in the info - but no matches for that yet. I have met some wonderful nudist ladies at resorts over the years and our friendships have progressed to wonderful relationships that had good runs...so maybe sometimes the place to look is where we congregate. In either case - you gotta make the calls to make the sale. Sometimes tedious but necessary. And, never assume someone you're attracted to would never try social nudism. Can't hurt to ask. Can tell you I'd never give up nudism for a relationship. And, for what its worth....I met a LOT more nudist women after I went to massage school and learned massage... | |
| I have had a profile on many nudists sights with no luck at all, most are looking for a wealthy man or a brad pitt look a like, which I am neither. Nudism is about body accepance. About 99% want you to pay to receive messages which I will never do again. Hopefully I can meet a friend here and maybe we will become closer. | |
| my experiences with meeting naturist/nudists via online forums has been quite positive: through NudistFriends.com i met a very nice woman -- our first physical meeting was by the new lodge/indoor pool @ Laguna del Sol. we dated for awhile and later graduated to close friendship. through Match.com: similar experience and LDS as shared common ground. through Singlenudist.com: met kindred spirit, loving partner, now lifelong friend. though not in relationship we always take day-trips to Harbin Hot Springs together, whenever i make it back out to NCal. through POF PlenyofFish.com (highly recommended): have met and befriended several wonderful naturist women. similar experiences on DharmaMatch.com and VeggieDate.com, which are more geared to folks with similar cosmic/holistic outlook. the common thread through ALL of these sites has been essentially the same handle "aquashizen" and same profile. in my profile i mention that i am a "naturist", which is understood by like-minded spirits and perhaps not by others -- no matter. key is going inside and being sincere about who you really are, values and indicate similar needs for that in a partner. also this underscores s subtle nuanced difference between the meaning of "naturist" vs "nudist" -- for me and those who respond, it seems to mean feeling natural and comfortable being clothes free whenever climate and environment permit. there are many modern progressive spiritual people out there, who are OK with, say, being naked & natural at the hot springs, camping or beach but, at same time, would not call themselves "nudist" or being nude for being nude's sake and do not feel the urge to join AANR, TNS or hang at the nearest landed club every other weekend. comparing this site Nudhistclubhouse.com to SingleNudist.com -- i have similar handle and profiles on both but have stop subscribing to SingleNudist as, frankly, IMHO, it has slowed down quite a bit, with all the same faces on there, year after year. as for comments about women being "perfectionists" -- the same can be said about men, too. relationships are not a "cookie-cutter, one size fits all" affair. love, trust, and commitment are still common core values. though i have met many wonderful women, who became close friends and have had partnerships with a couple of them, it does not mean that relationship "failed"... in each case it was either realizing we had differences in lifestyle preference (other than enjoying being clothes free) and/or logistics -- my need to return to Midwest (thus separate) due to family (helping sick mom) in Wisconsin. all in all i am very grateful for the opportunity to meet and make FRIENDS, share QT and experiences, earn mutual trust, which establishes the base from which we can explore more possibilities if the chemistry clicks. | |

| True story, met a lady on Match.com about 12 years ago. Good email, good phone, we met for our first dinner. That went well. Finally she said she had something to tell me that might cause me to want to stop seeing her. Okay, what? She said she was a nudist. I started laughing. Couldn't stop laughing at the irony of it. She thought I was mocking her and gave me a mean look. I finally was able to fish my AANR card out of my wallet while still laughing and hand it over to her. Then she started laughing. Today, I mention, or at least allude to, my naturist/nudist beliefs. Currently trying eharmony and put it right out there. Why not? If a woman doesn't have a like mind its not going to work out. | |

| I think it's just going to have to be getting out in the mainstream world and finding someone who isn't afraid of the human body. Finding nudists online just for dating is just not going to happen, for two reasons: the online world is more full of creeps than the real world is, and there is a gender disparity where you don't see both men and women going online and talking about being nude. Men seem to be more apt to talk about going nude than women. Women like to talk about OTHER things. Unfortunately there is a lot of behavior on this site and others like it that I've noticed from SOME, and I'm sure most part is unintentional. For example, when a woman comes into the chat room, so many of the men only talk to her and ignore everyone else in the room. And then, often the conversation steers dangerously close to the "so what are you weeearing" territory of creepiness. And from what I hear, the in-private conversations tend to get out of hand. And if it's not kind of perverted, it's repetitious, pushy or boring. (how long have you been a nudist? when did you start? where do you like to go nude? you have a daughter? you nude around her? why not?) We need to realize that this sort of thing is contributing to the disparity. For me, this site was the launching point for being able to have nudist experiences, make new friends, not for dates. I think that's the best attitude going forward when it comes to the internet, because it helps you find the good, fun and decent people a lot easier, and that can lead to very good things! | |

| I'm on Match.com and am about to give up on it. No women seem interested, and the women there seem to have high expectations of a man they want. I mention nudism in my profile. I figure she is going to find out anyway so why waste her time and mine by not mentioning it. I also say that she would not be expected to participate but should be open minded about nudism. I also mention that I am very shy. Most nudist resorts I visit have older people (I'm 43). Resorts with younger people cater to swingers which I am not interested in. I have now come to the realization that, by becoming a nudist, I have severely limited my potental mate pool. I guess I'm doomed to remain a bachelor. | |
| Over the last 3 years I have dated separately 2 nudist guys. I met one at a nudist resort and the other at a nonlanded nudist get-together. I have learned from this dating experience that simply being a nudist was not a guarantee that we would be compatible. They are great guys but we simply didn't "click". | |

| Sometimes sharks are woman. Recently I have been approached by 2 woman on 2 difrent sites that they were interested in me. Turns out they were interested im my mondy not me. Yes, Nigeria was mentioned along the way. One of the woman sent tastful nude photoes of ereself (alegidly). I say that at the beginning the typing was crude tord the end the typing was perfect. So the letters probably came from diffrent people. On that particular site they gave a city and state that would get a persons curosity. They said they got robbed and needed money to get home that the manager would not let her go until she paid. I told her to contact the embacy shat no one could hold you. | Part of any friendship or relationship I built up trust, honest, important factors. More so in the beginning before setting up that first meeting or date. Creating open communication and keeping it is the best foundation. Seven yrs ago I met a beautiful girl online. It was a site supporting quadriplegics. Neither of us are, but we both felt we had the desire to. At the same time, I built up a web site to support Amputees after aq motorcycle accident, yes I do ride. Through out that first year she and I built up such a bond after exchanging photo's, talking on the phone, gifts, Holiday cards, etc., I decided to fly and see her. New Zealand is exactly what the locals there say. When God made the rest of the world for the people, he made New Zealand for himself, very true. We spent a lot of time together, our hearts anchored side to side to this day. Love and respect we both have and share, we don't hide any part of our lives, we stay open with each other, I haven't been back to New Zealand since, it's been almost seven yrs, in that seven yrs, we both support our friendship in every way.. | Beachbuddy, the same can be said of men. I've been stood up a few times by guys just wanting friends. One was supposedly an officer in the Navy, another was allegedly a medical resident. This was on a clothed dating site. I've become disillusioned with dating sites, and closed what accounts I had on them. FWIW, I had a paid account on match.com, and the one date I had from there, was like being with an octopus; hands all over me. He got mad when I wouldn't go back to his place, and put a stop to him trying to grope me in the parking lot. The next day he sent me a text saying I was too old, too fat, I didn't talk enough, (but) I was too opinionated, I didn't eat enough, and I didn't drink enough. I shot back a text that just said, "yeah, but funny, none of that stopped you from trying to feel me up in the middle of the parking lot." Never heard from him again. I am now of the mindset that a date will happen when it happens. I'm not going to go looking. | |
