Swimming Nude
| Do you love the feel of the water on your skin? Do you enjoy the feel of stroking through the water and feeling it caressing you...all over? I always feel good while swimming and find the experience even more wonderful when I am unemcumbered by a bathing suit. How about you? | |
| There's nothing like it! And once you do its difficult to go back. Fortunately our pool is secluded enuf that I can enjoy it unencumbered. They won't let me swim that way in the lap pool, however. Prudes!! | |
| Some of my first memories of being nude outside were swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. I would swim out, then take off my shorts and swim as long as I could while holding my shorts in my hand. I was always amazed how different it felt swimming nude. The tricky part was trying to remember NOT to let go of the shorts. | |
| Thanks guys, I didn't think I was the only one who felt the way I do! Mike | |
| The only place I've gotten to swim nude is at Sandy Hook NJ on Gunnison Beach. It was about 100 degrees and the water was just great! It just felt like the only way to swim. However that was a rare time. Unfortunatly Sandy Hook's water is usualy too cold to swim in. You have to be a brave soul to swim most of the time. | |
| I've gone swimming in a spring fed lake at Broken Arrow Campground (now closed). I went the last time in October when the air temp was about 55,a nd the water temp wasn't much warmer. While cold, it still felt good to be nude in the water. I have also skinny-dipped a few times in motel/hotel pools. Its not the same, though, as being outdoors | |
| My only skinny-dipping experiences have been at resorts last summer and nude swims this winter. The feeling of the water touching every part of my body is fantastic. And when I get out of the pool, there's no wet swim trunks clinging to me and even without a towel, I dry off quickly. I can't imagine getting into water any other way. | |
| Hello all! My first experience with being nude in public was doing the pool and hot tub at a place called brushwood. That was my intro, and I absolutely loved it. Since then I never want to swim or hot tub with clothes on! Can't wait for this NY weather to warm up enough for the season to begin. | |
| Nothing beats the salt water of the ocean on a hot summers day.Its better than a pool or hot tub in my humble opinion. As long as the waters not to cold! | |
| Some of my frist memories of skinny dipping. As young boys maybe 10 or 11 was skinny dipping in the river 2 or 3 miles from where we lived, their was maybe a half dozen of us. We all stripped down to nothing and jumped in. Another memorie was after a basketball game in my jr. year we had a losing team our coach said if we won he would let us go skinny dippin in the school swimming pool that we were playing at, I guess a couple of girls from the school got a wide eyed veiw of our basketball team nude in the pool. | |
| Skinny dipping was standard when I was a kid and suits were unusual. In my teen years, the church had a nudity required swimming pool and in high school, nudity was required. Never have gotten used to a suit. When I've swum on teams (college and Navy OCS), I used to go back while everyone else was showering and grab a lap or two without my suit. | |
| it was nice to get in the water on especially a hot day but when u finally get out,u freeze but not for so long like if u have a swimsuit on! it's actually better to just go nude!! | |
| It's to the point that I hate wearing swimsuits at any point. I refuse to use hot tubs or whirlpools if I have to wear a suit. I will of course wear one at a pool if I must, but I don't go to beaches where I will have to wear one anymore! | |
| New routine to follow at White Thorn...swim..hot tub...swim ..... sauna...swim...felt great especially since yesterday was on the cool side (high of about 70) | |
| Whenever we go to a pool where we HAVE to wear a suit, it feels like I'm wearing a full tuxedo in the pool! LOL. Actually, if I HAVE to wear a suit, I love Speedos. I think they look better than surfer-jam type suits, and I'd rather wear the minimum that is required. ;-) | |
| I am the opposite of Bucknakedbear. In fact, when I see men in Speedos, I still have the "ugh, you can see the imprint of everything!" sort of reaction, whereas if the man were nude, I wouldn't care. It's weird, I know, but that's the way my mind works. Personally, if I have to suit up, I prefer a nice pair of loose board shorts with no liner. With more space inside and no liner holding anything up, it still feels all right. But, of course, I do prefer to not wear anything if at all possible! | |
| First swam nude in college and loved it, no more clingly suit, feeling cold when leaving the water because of the suit. Then lived in a house during graduate school that was bought out of foreclosure and being rehabed that had a 25 yard pool with a diving board and 10 foot fence. My roommates and I always swam nude and loved it. FREEDOM. since then swam nude as much as a could, although was restricted by my now overbearing overprotective jealous at a drop of a hat ex wife. Viva la skinny dipping. | |
| My favorite thing to think about is that I don't have to worry about my suit falling off because I'm not wearing one. | |
| I really hate waring a swimming suit when I swim. Growing up I spent a lot of time in rural areas where we took advantage of numerous ponds, creeks, lakes and rivers where we could swim nude. I also had access to a swimming pool that was very private and when possible I would swim nude. | |
| Other than my birthday suit, I don't own anything else "suitable" for swimming. A Speed0-type suit feels constricting and draws attention to where it shouldn't. Those big, baggy long shorts? What's the point? Might as well be wearing a double-breasted suit. To my way of thinking, one's birthday suit is always appropriate. | |
| I enjoy nude swimming so much that I sometimes take my suit off while swimming at textile beaches in the water, just have to be careful not to let go of the suit.Has anyone else done this? | |
| Our grown children revisited the nude lifestyle this past year after a 20+ year hiatus. They picked it up again with friends.....skinny dippin'. They're all too young and in good shape to do Chubby Dunkin'.....YET! Anyway...a friend of our youngests wanted to come over and spend the day in our backyard laying out by the pool. Our youngest said..."My dad's gonna be home and you know....they're nudists." The friend said..."can we go naked swimming then?" The reply..."I would think so." The friend said..."yahoo...naked swimming...I hate wearing a bathing suit when I swim." They came over and went skinny dippin' and layed out and got some sun au naturel. I of course was on the computer in the office and allowed them to enjoy it by themselves. Only to find out that they both were a bit upset that I didn't go out and spend the day with them. This friend also accompanied my wife and I and our two grown children to the nude section at San Onofre Beach....three times! | |
| We are moving to Arizona. Bought a 1 acre place. Plan on having the pool and block fence in the backyard. Really do people actually swim in the own backyards, with suits on? That is just so sad. Swimming naked is the only way. Oh yes we are defenitly as we have called it 'chunky dunkers' Chubby dunkers here. | |
| First time skinny dipping was in a friends backyard pool late at night. I couldn't believe how nice it was without the restricting suit on. Since, this will be my 5th year attending the local nude beach. I go as often as I can and stay all day. And I am in the water for a few hours total throughout the time I am there. We are also in the process of buying our first house and it comes with a hottub! Guess who won't be wearing a suit in there as well?! | |
| I love swimming in the nude. I never want to swim any other way. I have been exploring new swimming holes in Va to see where I can skinny dip or in my case chunky dunking. I love any kind of water. Rivers, lake & Oceans being my first choices. I don't mind cold mountain water when it is hot outside. I even put an outdoor shower up in my yard to cool down with at home. It is very hard to wear a suit after enjoying Au Natural :) | |
| hahahahaha....Earthygal... I think we get that you love to swim nude! hahahaha That's happened to me so many times...(multiple posts of the same message)....just adding some humor to the thread! :) My youngest (31) daughter's best friend loves to come to our home because she doesn't have to wear a bathing suit. She always askes...when can we go to your parents house so we can do "naked swimming!?" This young woman and her husband have also visited the nude beach with us and are actually looking forward to vacationing with us at a nude resort. The only thing holding us all back......$$$$$ ...and like you, my wife loves the idea of not having to wear a suit and prefers swimming nude. She hated trying to find a suit that fit and looked right on her...so she'd rather go without one too! ;) | |
| Opps That post must have hiccuped. Sorry folks I went back & deleted them. I hear what you mean about the $$$ . I hope to enjoy some resorts soon. I probably with try the one of the TNS gatherings this year. I hope you guys get to enjoy one too. I love the fact that your hole family enjoys it. I would much rather wear nothing at all than a unflattering bathing suit. I totally agree with your wife. | |
| I live near blacks beach in San Diego and sometimes go for a nude swim in the surf. Would like to find some others in the area to swim with. Dan | |
| It's hard to beat the wonderful feeling of swimming in the nude.....Our favorite place to swim nude and be nude is on Orient Beach in St. Martin....It is the best!!!! | |
| My girlfriend and fond a local hot spring that does nude swims at night and we have gone a couple times now. It is very relaxing to sit in the hot tub. I have not been able to swim with out a suite on for so long that i forgot how nice it is to swim nude. It feels much better swimming nude then with a swim suite on especialy when you get out of the water, dont have to worry about the swim suite sticking to you. I cant wait to go again. | |
| The other location we enjoy swimming nude is Terra Cotta Inn...We love that place..It's nice going there just for the day. Only 45 mins away.... | |
| I love swimming nude! Other than my club, I have swam nude at Orient beach, St Martin, Tahiti, (beautiful!) Caliente Caribe and Caliente Florida, Cypress Cove, Paradise Lakes, Australia and Blacks Beach. I haven't owned a bathing suit in years and I will never wear one again! You just can't go back once you have felt what it's like to swim nude. | |
| I love swimming nude! First time was in a friend's pool. I have also swam nude in "The Wash" off the coast of Norfolk, England and at Camp Gaea near Kansas City. Swimming unencumbered by a suit is the best! | |
| as my "aquashizen" handle(and domain, too: http://aquashizen.com) attests, i love being natural in water in all forms, whether it be a lake, pond, bay, hot spring, hot tub... all are great and, of course, best when share with good friends. | |
| I have been enjoying swimming in the pool but I must say the feel of the ocean the other day at Haulover was the best! I am so happy to be chunky dunkin once again! South Florida has been beautiful. | |
| You are so right Earthygal... Swimming naked in a pool is great but swimming, snorkling and just bobbing around naked in the ocean is awesome. Each year we vacation at Club Orient and that clear, warm caribbean water is fantastic and even more fantastic when you're naked and in it! Even naked night swimming in that water is awesome! | |
| Naked night swimming in the ocean!? I'm sorry but "Jaws" ruined that for me! LOL Swimming at Club Orient beach is great though! | |
| Went skinny dipping at Harpers Ferry Saturday. Water was great. Nice day big river and know people. | |
| Hi folks! Just joined this room and am glad to see a lot of folks from other rooms I belong to in this group as well. We are active nudists in the Orlando area and the only suits we own for our pool are for use when textile friends visit. Additionally, we keep our boat in the Miami area and always enjoy nude swimming in various locations on the reefs off of South Florida. Finally, we will be going to the Bahamas on our boat this coming weekend for two weeks. Obviously, we don't have suits on board at all but still plan on doing A LOT of swimming, scuba diving and, in general, spending a lot of time in the crystal clear waters the Bahamas are known for! We love being in the water, nude and simply hate the idea of having to wear anything when in the water! | |
| When I needed a bit of extra money a few years ago, I took a lifeguarding course. When certified, I got a part time job early mornings lifeguarding in the indoor lap pool of a really nice healthclub only minutes from my house. I opened in the morning, so I had my own keys. I swam laps naked every other morning for an hour before opening the pool. Year-round. This went on for about 5 years and I never grew tired of it or took it for granted. It just felt like the natural thing to do. It felt like I was just gliding effortlessly through the water and not dragging along a pair of swim trunks like an anchor. Unfortunately, job circumstances forced me to move and I haven't found that part time lifeguarding job yet. But still looking. I REALLY miss those morning nude swims. | |
| Dan you are very lucky. To get to Blacks Beach I have to drive 2 hours. After basking in the sun the drive back puts me to sleep if I drive alone. So my trips have been limited to when I get a friend to go with me. A warm day a few weeks ago made for a nice plunge. The water, the sun and the breeze nothing like a nude plunge in the ocean. | |
| Went to a nude swim with the non landed club. Had a great time. | |
| I have gone to nude swims in the baltimore area in the passed. But I lost my job and could not aford it. | |
| I've always loved the water but hated the clinging of trunks to my skin. I couldn't imagine taking a shower with the trunks on but somehow I was suppose to cover up the "dirty parts" when swimming with mixed company. There's only two letters that I can think of to express my dislike of that concept...BS. I have only had to wear trunks on a few occassions in the past 15 years and all it did was reaffirm my love for nudism and nudists. | |
| Nude swimming is one of the best feelings in the world. I love to go bodysurfing at Blacks Beach wearing nothing but a pair of swim fins. Gliding through the waves naked is such a rush. | |
| The only thing better than swimming nude is feeling the breeze on your bare body! | |
| I agree with you on that Beachbum. A nice breeze and warm sun. | |
| I definitely enjoy it. I like jumping in the pool and as an alternative to going right for the lounge chair,I'll walk around the resort, letting the sun dry me off before I jump in again. | |
| When my wife Suzanne and I first bought our new home in Naples, on southwest Florida's Gulf Coast, we loved skinnydipping in our secluded garden's pool, with no chance of offending any non-nudist neighbors. But as the weather turned cooler, swimming there became increasingly challenging. That's when we had solar panels installed on our home's roof. Now the pool's water is always comfortably warm--typically at about 90 degrees--even in the middle of winter. We and our visitors now enjoy skinnydipping here almost every day of the year. A neighbor who has a pool the same size as ours tells us that heating his pool with electricity costs him thousands of dollars per year. But after the modest one-time cost of the solar panels, we'll continue to get free heat for our pool until the sun burns itself out in a few million years, by which time we might be too old to swim anyway. Nudists vacationing in our area are welcome to visit us to enjoy skinnydipping, and to see the value of solar heating. They can also enjoy sunbathing nude among the tropical flowers blooming all year n our half-acre garden, and hanging out nude in our clothing-optional home. Suzanne and I love meeting other friendly nudists, whether they're very experienced or just trying nude social recreation for the first time. Please google my name to send us a message, letting us know when you might be in our area for a visit. We look forward to hearing from you soon. | |
| I remember the first time I was nude in the water other than the shower or bath. I was camping with my grandparents and they told me to take this bar of soap down to the river and wash up. I had already been nude outdoors often on our trips because we went to some pretty secluded places. So naturally, I got nude and jumped into this little alcove pool area and cleaned up. I must have gone for a long time because my grandpa came down to check on me. Normally I hate getting into the water. Unless it is a pool. I hate cold water with a passion. I have found though, that the places I wouldn't really go jump into when wearing a suite, I would have zero issue jumping in if I was nude. Guess that means I am a habitual skinny dipper. |
