I thought for my first post here I would make a few comments about naturism and the church. There has been considerable discussion on some of the other sites like Naturist-Christian and Christian Village on this subject.
Naturists by and large seem divided on this issue, some seeing nude worship as just another part of their lifestyle, while others seem to believe that an actual naturist church falls in the camp of radical idea's and nude protester's. While it remain's a dream of perhap's hundred's if not more to have regular church services in a convenient place in the town of their choice, most think nude worship is still a ways off. There are the CNC's of course which during the summer do this in a limited way,and there are perhaps small gatherings in private homes here and there but things won't really change here in the US until Christian naturist church's become a well established presence. For myself I can't think of anything that would bring me closer to God than to be able to worship as I was created close to nature. I never feel as connected to the eternal as when I can bring a walk or hike, prayer, meditation and love of naturism together in the same place.
I am interested in hearing your views and ideas on this and welcome further discussion.
thanks for your attention and God Bless

There had been considerable discussion on Naturist Christian and Christian Village about the formation of a more permanent location for worship of our Creator. Also I have talked at some length with the folks in Texas who run the CNC during the summer. There is more than a little interest is doing this very thing.
Perhaps at first at a resort such as they have outside of Dallas, Bluebonnet I believe is the name. There are already small groups that meet on a regular basis such as what "Aznudepair" is doing in Texas. It is not a large group yet, but often great things start small don't you think?
Thankyou for your comments and God Bless. Uriel
Likewise, I'm interested in the concept of naturist/nudist worship. Having led a house church for two years (clothed), God has given me a gift for teaching and preaching the Bible and leading worship. It would be an honor for me at some point in time to lead a nude worship service. I know I would enjoy doing it. Just haven't had the opportunity to do so. I've prayed many times nude, and sat at resorts in the nude reading my Bible.

There is a growing organization called Christian Nudist Convocation that was started only about four or five years ago for the purpose of bringing Christian Nudists together. I attended the 2005 meeting at White Tail Resort, and enjoyed the fellowship. They are planning several events this year. Check their website: http://www.christiannc.com/ for information.

Uriel, You may want to visit http://nakedforchrist.blogspot.com/ for a pastor of a nudist church in Ivor VA. His name is Allen Parker, and is wanting to plant new churches in naturist resorts. Contact him for more information.
Is there any Naturist Churches or Naturist Christian organizations in the Midwest?

I believe there is a great potential for local or club orienated church services. In our RV travles my wife and I have noticed there always seems to be a particular private location set asside for prayer, contemplation or church services. Most are not used that much but the potential IS there!

I was asked last summer to start a preaching ministry at our club but opted to have a weekly bible study class for now. From this gathering I am hopeful to build a base that just might lead to a weekly church ministry. You might keep this ministry in your prayers.

Here is an update to my previous commentary. Our official Tuesday night bible study started on 30 May 2011, with just two guest at the study. Over time that number has grown to 12 but is seems most consistant at eight members.

Our first lesson was three weeks long on the subject of Salvation, and what that biblically implies. We then transitioned over to a study of the first three books of Genesis. Our study centered on Adam and Eve, their relationship with God and what actually caused their expulsion from Eden. By the way, contrary to common belief, it had nothing to do with their being nude! We are now in a study of the book of James with its focus on Christian Living. James has much to say about our Christian relationship to God and to each other as fellow believers.

If you happen to be at Olive Dell Ranch in Colton, CA on a Tuesday evening with nothing to do, stop by for a visit with our fellowship. All are welcomed...No experiance necessary! Jetman

When ever I get to White Tail Resort in Virginia I go to their church on Sunday. Allen is a great pastor and John always has a good bible study before the service.

Lake Como has a Bible Study group that meets every Sunday at 11:00am, at the resorts "north grove" or in the Rec Hall if the temp is below 70 deg or is raining.

I just found this group...I think we're a long ways away from having nudist churches in the USA but worship services @ resorts is a start. I went to the only CNC that was held @ Show Me Acres in MO (a few years ago) & was the preacher for the Sunday service. Hard to explain but there is something refreshing not only about worshipping the Creator/Redeemer "dressed" as we were created to be but also about doing so with other folks "dressed" only in air, in a smile, & in the love of God!

I don’t know if Bible study is still going on Tuesday nights, but for us non-members, Olive Dell is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. I have been contemplating starting a Bible study, even a home church, just a place for nudists to gather in worship.

I have talked to a number of people, but very little interest at this point. I will continue to pray about it and keep talking to others.

As concerns the Bible Study held at Olive Dell Ranch, it has been suspended for a while. I am though thinking about starting it up again after the first of the new year. It will be held at our RV site #44 up on Easy Street and all will be invited. Bibles can be provided for those in need.
On the two days mentioned, Tuesday and Wednesday, the front gate is left open at ODR so the guest and normal business can continue.
