Here it is, Friday nite. Although we have still 2 more days, I thought I'd catch up with a report on the new (to us) RV for the last 7 days. The 1st couple of days here at the club www.sunmeadow.org/ we found out that the roof AC unit works fine. Thank goodness! Then we found out the awning is nice to sit under during light rains. Then today the sun was out again and wonderful.

We still have 1 more days to go, before the 12hr drive home. We'll take 2 days to get home from here. But had a minute before the movie starts in the club house, so wanted to post while I could.

It's been nice to be nude outside again after the mild, but long, winter.

Here at the club, and have mentioned the idea to the owners for May or June of 14. I can tell you that, they are well versed in event. We were here last year for the western TNS gathering, and the year before the AANR western gathering.

However, my concern is that I may not have enough support from group members to continue. How 'bout it gang? Shall I continue asking questions here? I have many answers already to concerns mentioned earlier.

Please lemme know the groups feeling.

yes I would. In fact she joined us for 4 days a few yrs ago. It was so nice to have her there with us. It was her 1st visit to a c/o venue, but loved every minute of it. Had plans of returning. Unfortunatly, she never made it back, she passed away 2 yrs later at 90. It was 1st time I had seen her nude, ever. Nudity was not done in the home as a kid.

Connie figures that if her mom had been in better health, she might have gone along too. Guys, I can't tell you in words how nice it is to have your parents join you in nudism. It brings you closer.

I realize, it is about 7hrs from Calgary, but worth the 12hr drive for us from here. In fact, heading the tomorrow for 10 days. We have been there several times over the last cpl of yrs. IMHO, if a person only goes to the club but a few times a year, then the costs could be considered high. The clubs that we have visited and pay by the day, are equal if not lower then KOA's. On the other hand, when we go for 3 wks or longer to a club, paying the summer membership is a cost saving. One needs to weigh the options for how often they plan on going, to decide which is more budget thrifty for them.

Not sure what you meant by Nurses Station, or what kind of hoops. There is acres of grass for frisbee, catch, what have you. Kite flying is one of their yearly activities. Infact, indoor pool area have many kites hanging from the ceiling. They even sell kites in the office.

Please check original message as I am adding your ideas to the list to save room and easier to print later.

Connie and I are heading to the club in Idaho (Sun Meadow) in May. Is there any interest enough in continue plans for a gathering? If there is, I can discuss with club owners to get their opinions on such an endeavor there.

These are the topics raised that I will discuss:

1) Singles welcome
2) Piercings welcome
3) Tats welcome
4) Pets welcome
5) Children welcome
6) A slip & slide made
7) Water balloons
8) Mud hole
9) Dance
10) Kite flying
11) Bon fire area could be a problem, depending on time of yr and state fire bans

Please advise.

Jim...That's a good idea, aleast it was for me. I talked to neighbors a few yrs ago on all sides and only 1 had a problem with me being nude in the back yard. So I go out when they're not home. It's nice running the lawn tractor and doing stuff in the back yard and not worry about wearing anything.

Was kinda funny last yr. The ppl on the south side have kids ( 7 & 5) so I was headed over to make sure it as still OK with them, with the kids getting older and all. Part way over, I looked up and both kids were running thru the sprinkler w/o suits on. I came back home, it was all the answer I needed. :-)

Canada is Nude arrow Great Canadian Destination??

Rusty_BC

Posted: Mar 8, 2013

Good questions skyclad, let me answer for us.

For all Canadians, or travelers TO Canada:
1) How do you define a "proper vacation"?

A proper vacation for us is simply getting away from home and camping.

2) How far are you comfortable or willing to travel for your vacations?

In the summer, we tend to travel 1200kms or more from home area.

3) How long do you settle in at any one place? How long would you PREFER to take in any one place?

Last summer, and again this yr, the plan is for 3 to 4 wks at the club in Idaho that we like. I have gone for as long as 5wks on a motorcycle trip down thru the south-western states.

4) Do you use a locale/place as your destination or as a central hub for traveling to and from other places?

The last cpl of yrs it depends on the destination. We have done both, stay at one site, or use it as a hub for day trips.

What do others do on their holidays?

Thank you for your words. I too let my AANR membership lapse for reason stated by several on NCH. As well as being treated 3rd rate, being from another country outside the USA. The AANR philosiphies and goals mean nothing when they won't be enforced. They HAD some good ideas, but from where I stand, money had taken over and closed their eyes to many offenses from affiliated clubs.

I'm sorry to sound so negative on that organization. But on a positive note I try to spread the good feelings of nudism to any that ask questions. No, I don't flaunt the fact that I am a proud nude person, but I certainly don't hide the fact either.

And again I'm off topic. :-)

But if any one has questions or experiences that I might able to be a sounding board, please ask away!

I wish there was more to offer you in that area for nudism, but alas not much that I know of. There is one place near Halicom Hot Spring that has nude access, but that is all I know of in the area. If you are by chance heading to Vancouver Island, there is a very nice club there named Sol Sante. Depending on how you are returning home, nice club in Idaho that we go to named Sun Meadows.

Not much help, but I hope you enjoy your trip.

If I can toss in my nickels worth, I have put on many miles with both the 1100 Wing (100k), and the 1500 Wing (55k), pulling a KwikKamp tent trailer. Only differences I have noticed, is more throttle up a hill, and braking sooner down a hill. And on wet roads, corner more careful as the extra weight wants to try and kick rear tire out.

Just my most humble opinion.

Keeping in mind this is only MY opinion, and I don't mean to bring others down, I will apologize now to any upset with my post.

The Christmas season is NOT my fav time of year. Even before Halloween was over, the carols started on the radio and TV ads. Too early! Let us atleast get the Trick or Treaters off the porch, and the 2 minutes of silence of Remembrance Day done before the Big Box stores bombarding us with ads and their money grab. Sales like Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. Supposedly they lower their prices 20% to 50%, they don't say how much they quietly raise the prices beforehand, to give us those discounts. And if those discounts can be given on those days, are they gouging the others days of the year??

Christmas is a wonderful time to get together with friends and family. To stay in touch with loved ones. To remember and help the less fortunate. To spread some good cheer. Perhaps an Act of Random Kindness.

Oh, the newspaper just arrived, it's full of flyers of all the sales at the stores....I JUST DON'T CARE!

I have always found it a silly notion to worry about running into someone you know at a nude venue. After all, they are there for the same reason. I too, look for someone that I know at a nude venue, it would be good way to find a common interest with them that you didn't know existed previously.

Rustysask... I think one of the problems you may encounter with a club in the area you mentioned, is the same problem we have here. Too short a season. In my thinking, to make a club possible, and profitable, it would need a longer "open season" than N. Sask, or Northern BC can offer. I too wish there was something closer to us, but can surely understand some of the reasons there isn't. At least you have the clubs in Saskatoon and Regina. Although I am sure they are take alot of driving time, my closest is either a 9hr drive plus ferries costs to Vancouver Island, or 12hr drive into Idaho.

I wish you lots of luck in finding a place you can use.

For me, that is easy to answer. If I have to have a label, I am a nudist. I am a poor naturist, I am not "one with nature", I don't always do healthy things, and I try not to harm the earth, not always succeeding. But I am nude when I can, more often if I could. I am nude for me, no other reason.

.....what peoples definition of a nudist are. I'm nude for me, not others. I don't like clothes, I don't like the feeling of clothes on my skin. I'm nude because _I_ want to be! I don't consider myself as a naturist...I don't always do healthy things, I try to do things that are not harmful to the Earth, not always succeeding. I don't always eat right. I'm not big on exercise.

I don't care about labels, I don't care what others think of the way I live my life, I don't care what peoples opinion are of why I am nude. I am nude for me, no one else. I am me. If a person doesn't like it, that is THEIR problem, I refuse to make it mine.

The mornings are cool, frost most every morning this month. But in the mid 20's Celsius during the day so I am not complaining.

As far as winter activities, not many options for us. We do visit some friends a few blocks away for cards, Wii, and dominoes. Like us, clothes are not needed at their home. And yes, their hot tub is a good place to sit on cold nights. Nearest nude swim is a 5hr drive. Costly for fuel, and a motel, just for a 2hr swim. But we will make it thru I'm sure. :-)

And I will not have some person that has never even met me, whether in person or chat room, tell me were I can be nude.

I hope you are successful, Jim. Our g son was 6 last month, and from the time he was born, I have been nude when he's been here. As a baby, I would lay him on my bare chest as I stretched out on the lazeeboy and he would be asleep within minutes. The so called 'experts' call it kangaroo care these days. I call it bonding. Even now, he'll cuddle up close next to me on the couch for quiet time

Although step daughter and sil don't go nude here, and prefer we don't when they visit, they have known from the get go that we will be nude when g son visits, and they are OK with that. We're still working on mom and dad.

Talking of grandson's, from the time he was born, I was nude with him here at home. He's just turned 6. As a baby, I would lay him on my bare chest and he would be asleep within minutes. The 'experts' call it "kangaroo care", or cuddles. Still at 6, he likes to climb up on the couch with me and cuddle close at my side. I remember when he was about 2, I was having a shower. I looked down and he had peeled everything off and was climbing in with me. It was kinda cute. As you can tell, nudity was/is not hidden from him here. And from what his mom & dad say, it's not hidden at home either. However, they prefer that we are dressed when they visit. Working on that slowly.

Still trying to get my wife back into the chat room, she hated thye amount of instant friend requests that are sent to her.

The several hour drive from N. Idaho into central WA. was great. The only time I got my shorts and T-shirt on was when we stopped for fuel and lunch in WA. Finally put shorts back on when we were just about to enter the campground in WA which was textile. Felt good to drive in the warm air nude, as it always does.

I agree with you Jim, but feel that if a lot of ads on TV or mags would stop 'enhancing' the female breast, the site of one would be less stimulating. Biggest offeder, IMHO, is Victoria's Secret ads. They exagerate a person's attention to a part of the female body that offends some if we men see a bare breast.

"You must be an Engineer" said the balloonist.

"I am," replied the man, "how did you know?"

"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you have told me is probably technically correct, but I've no idea what to make of your information, and the fact is, I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help at all. If anything, you've delayed my trip by your talk."

The man below responded, "You must be in Management."

"I am," replied the balloonist, "but how did you know?"

"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you are going. You have risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise, which you've no idea how to keep, and you expect people beneath you to solve your problems. The fact is, you are in exactly the same position you were in before we met. LARC's near Mt. Vernon, although they are friendly and have a nice hot tub and lots of grassy areas, there is no pool.

If you live in southern WA., you might keep Mountaindale Sun Club (west of Portland) in mind. Truth is, it is both of our's fav club to visit. Nice pool, friendly people, lots of sunning areas. Many game areas set up.

Picked up oil and filter, fill it with gas, and rode the 15miles back home. Got the oil changed and now the bike is in hibernation until spring.

The ppl on the north, don't like us out nude when their kids or they are home. However, they let us use their pool and know that we skinny dip when they are out.

We?re home! Had a great trip, here are a few of the highlites. Left home on the 19th of July heading south to Happy Campers Hideaway http://www.fvnc.ca/Happy%20Campers%20Page.html in Mission. Dressless and Marigold were an hour or so behind us. Met up with Paul and & Elaine already camped. It was very nice to see them again. There were a large number of FVNC http://www.fvnc.ca/home.htm members, some we knew, others we know now. Dinner at HCH was a wonderful pig roast that Hans (the owner) had started over the coals at 7am that morning. By dinner time, everyone was ready to try it. After dinner, everyone sang Happy B?Day to Hans for it was his 80th that day.

On Sunday, Joontiki and her other half joined us for a little while as they were on the lower mainland for the weekend. It was the 1st time we had met, was great to put a face to the words on the forums. The rest of the stay was sun, relaxation, and reading.

On Wednesday, Dressless, Marigold, Connie and I drove into Wash. heading for Mountaindale Resort http://www.mountaindalesunresort.com/ in Oregon. Was a wonderful day driving down the Chuckanut Drive thru Bellingham, Wa. Spent the nite near Tumwater, Wa. In the morning, headed to the club approx 20miles west of Portland. It was the clubs annual Strawberry Festival. Great weekend of meeting people, music, food, and of course strawberry shortcake.

Monday morning saw Dressless and Marigold head home for they had company arriving from out of town. Connie and I left on Tuesday back into Wash. and continued onto Fraternity Snoqualmie http://www.fraternitysnoqualmie.com/ for a couple of days. It was here that we saw a bit of drizzle, 1st and last bit of rain the whole time gone.

After a spending a few days there, the rest of our drive home included visiting with relatives. We both enjoyed the time away, but

Although his mom and dad are not comfortable being nude around others, they know he will have that choice when he is visiting. They are at at their home, but have no intention (so far) of joining us here. I gues what I am trying to say is, IMHO it is never too soon to start.

A few yrs ago, we had a couple from out of town visiting for the weekend. We drove out of town 25kms, and then 2kms into the bush to a lake for a skinny dip and a BBQ. As it turned out, someone reported us to the RCMP. An officer came out to talk to us, all the while us nude in the sun. After offering him a pop, we spent 45 mins discussing nudism, the AANR, and the FCN. It was a good experience.
