Kamodo, the club we belong to in WA had a single, gay, male as president! The clubs I have been around have single gays, single straights, gay and lesbian couples and guys in transition. As a single, I joined a club became a member of AANR and visited others (Lupin, Shangri La and Desert Fountain Inn) with no problems. Methinks the problem is mainly in your head, dude.

Aldebaran, I like your ideas. If I could add to them, I know there is at least one member that seems to post photos of nude women on his profile and they seem to have no connection to him or his activities. It was for that reason alone that I have not acted on a friend request from the fellow. I see no reason to harvest nude photos from elsewhere and post them here.

Are there a lot of gawkers on large nude cruises? From what I can tell one does not need to be a nudist to go on a nude cruise—just pay the fare. And one does not have to be nude while onboard. Seems to me to be a perfect setup for gawkers.

It's not really a problem for me (or us, really) to answer the door nude since we live in a nudist place. Delivery/work people coming in know in advance what to expect when they knock or ring the bell. That said, I have noticed that some nudists (women usually) will put something on when there are workmen in the park for a period of time, like pouring concrete or such.

On the Search menu for the site, there are a couple of places that display pictures of members with the idea that here is someone you might like to meet or get to know. In many cases the women have not logged in for many months, maybe years. They often have comments on their profile made to them from guys along the line of, “great photo”, “boy are you cute”, “what a nice body you have” or “I live in Podunk, can we get together sometime?”

It is my guess that such comments are a turn-off for the women and may perceive NC as just a place for guys to find a hook-up so they disappear into the woodwork.

To answer CarlNudi's question, "Is that because no one shaves their pubic area or it's just not an issue among your fellow members?"

I would say that shaving runs about 50%, maybe a little higher for women. It's just not an issue anymore than say if someone has tats.

Despite some negative comments to the contrary, SingleNudists.com works! That is where my wife and I met five years ago. And we were not neighbors just a few blocks apart. At the time she was working in southern California and I was in northern Washington, just about as far apart as one can get and still be on the west coast. As it so happens, big iron birds (airplanes) fly all over this country and it was a snap to jump on one to fly down and meet her. The rest is history, as they say. So dump the doom-and-gloom attitude that it will never work for you?if I did it, anyone can.

We got our new boat too late in the season to go very far what with all we had to do for any new boat. Did take nude friends to Garrison Bay and we just returned from Prevost Harbor after some nice sunbathing. The new boat will make this activity much easier with the large fore deck and and sun deck. If it gets chilly, just go to the fly bridge!

Next season we plan to head north and visit our sailboat and her new owners at Cortes Island.

Got our new boat in mid-July. It is a Heritage 36 Sundeck. Although a 2001 model she had only 118 hours on the engine; been used as a floating condo, I believe. Single screw Cummins 220 hp with bow thruster--need that to get in the tight slip. Much, much more room than the sailboat and more creature comforts. Been living on board most of the time since we bought her. In about a month we will put her up for the winter and head back to south Texas and SUN!

The only place I have been nude onshore is in Theodosia Inlet. Some years back, on a single-handed trip, I went ashore to walk the logging road. It was a Sunday and I knew the logging camp there is deserted on Sunday. After walking in about a half-mile or so, I started hearing engine noises. One side of the logging road drops off steeply to the water and the other side is a shear abutment?in other words there is no place to go to avoid a logging truck and it will take almost all the road. As I looked for a place to get out of the way of a truck about four ATV?s came around the corner. At least I was safe from being hit by a truck. The guys went on by and I continued walking. Not too long after I turned around to head back to the dinghy a three-wheeler came by; the gal riding on the back waved. It would be nice to wade in the shallow, warm water next to the shore there, however most of the spots I have tried have such a mucky bottom I sink in to my knees.

The last time we were there the logging camp was active all the time. The last time we went ashore there the weather was not conducive to be nude, unfortunately.

I have explored Von Donop nude in the dinghy and just along the foreshore.

In Galley Bay, along the west side, we have seen nude swimmers from the houses up on the shore.

Several times we have anchored in Theodosia Inlet, BC. I pick one little cove and snuggle up as far as possible to reduce the chances of another boat anchoring near us. A couple of times guys with their trawlers have cruised slowly by (there is just barely room to pass between us the the shore) while we are laying out. They pretend to be looking for a spot to anchor when one look at the chart says no room. They they slowly motor back out.
