Gillybean Posted: May 12, 2013	Well...room mate is in the process of moving out (without telling me) so there will be a room coming available after I repaint it. I will keep everyone informed. Rent will be $600 per month which will include Verizon FiOS phone/internet/television and utilities. My landlord has instated a late fee for rents that are overdue, so rent must be paid before the 15th of each month.Reminder that I already have 2 elderly cats, so no pets, and no smoking allowed indoors.

Gillybean Posted: Apr 20, 2013	I bought myself a gym membership and I go to work out in the pool 2-3 times a week. I have found that doing core exercises in the water are much easier on a bad back and knee than working out on machines. I also walk laps in the pool, moving backwards and forwards for 30 minutes of each session, which has help to strengthen and stabilize the bad knee. I am now getting psyched to start using the rowing machine in the gym itself, as that is really a non-impact full body exercise. Between the activity and paying attention to my food, as well as a job where I walk 4 hours every weeknight...I have dropped 19 lbs. and 2 pants sizes since January 28th. Now it is time to increase the activity as I really need to shed 50 more...

Gillybean Posted: Mar 22, 2012	I prefer to work nude when painting (I'm easier to clean than the clothes are!) and have often wondered if it would be easier to relax both the model and the artists if everyone was nude.In life drawing class at college, the guys were hooting over the nude model and the girls blushed most of the time. Maybe if they were all nude they would have taken fewer than five sessions to get comfortable. They never realized that I visited the model at her home to work nude with her in her garden during the summer...
Nude Jobs Work from Home?

I don't have the funds to pay for a program, nor the time to rustle up jobs on my own,but would love a job that would allow me to work at home. As a college student, anything that would work around my online course schedule would be perfect!My background is historical research and the arts, and I am trying to avoid the customer service jobs which are so prevalent now (I guess I don't like people enough for that...) Being able to work nude would simply be the icing on the cake...
The New York Nudes Bonita Nudist Resort
Gillybean Posted: Mar 22, 2012	I was very disappointed to hear that the owners are re-opening this season as a family textile campground. I had hoped to make it there for some nude camping this summer, but I'll have to find another place now. My preference is someplace with extensive wooded trails for walking and a lake instead of pool for swimming. If anyone knows of such a location that won't break the bank for travel and fees, I would love to know about it!

Gillybean Posted: Mar 22, 2012	Being a college student and currently unemployed, I am enjoying the ability to be nude as often as possible. I have a textile room mate who works second shift, so I am nude as soon as he leaves for work in the afternoon, and can usually be nude all morning until he wakes up around noontime. I live in a very prudish city, and have a neighbor who has the local cops on speed dial, so outdoor nudity is out of the question. I actually set up my screened porch so she could not see in to it, and sit out there in the dark to enjoy some fresh air while nude. Not optimal, but better than nothing.

Gillybean Posted: Mar 22, 2012	Most of my friends know I prefer to be nude whenever possible, so they call before arriving on my doorstep. My textile room mate doesn't know that I strip as soon as he leaves for work, and am nude until I hear him getting up around noon time. I have been laid off from my job, so I am able now to be nude nearly 20 hours per day and wear the minimum the rest of the time...I n general only those closest to me know about my love of naturism. The 80 degree, sunny March weather doesn't hurt either :)

Gillybean Posted: Jan 1, 2011	Hi! I'm Gillian, and I live in Auburn NY about 25 miles southwest of Syracuse. It is about an hour's drive to Syracuse, Ithaca, or East Rochester for me. I am a home nudist at present (until I get a new person to share the apartment) and enjoying every naked moment! I was hoping to find a few friends for nude socializing and perhaps summer outdoor activities. I have not been to Empire Haven as I prefer to be out in the woods or at a lake for nude recreation. I certainly would not mind nude camping or hiking with the right group of friends.

Gillybean Posted: Nov 3, 2010	There are at least 2 nude resorts within an hour's drive of where I live, Empire Haven and Bonita. I have not been to either though I hear great things about them. I am a home nudist and don't have enough nudist friends to take the road trip yet. Upstate NY has a number of nice clubs within 3 hours as well, and an assortment of non-landed clubs. Currently, due to school and money constraints, I have not joined any of the travel clubs, nor do I have AANR membership.

Gillybean Posted: Nov 3, 2010	I am a college student who will have my Bachelors degree in History in December. My plan is grad school for a Masters and PhD in History to teach at college level. I am giving serious thought to being able to teach online courses which would allow me to work in the nude from home. Currently, I am looking for work such as editing or proof-reading to do from home.

It was easy as I did not have to share space with a younger student. If I am sharing a hotel room with my current room mate, neither of us bothers to dress. I would love to have nudist accommodations when on the road!Go for it, Plumrgrlok!

However, I make a compromise daily for my own need for nudity and NEVER wear underwear under any circumstances. If commando is as close as I can get to free and total nudity then I will take it.

Gillybean Posted: Jul 8, 2010	My new roomie is also naked as often as possible, and last winter we kept the house at 70 degrees.Now, since her 18 y/o daughter will be staying while she's in college, we each made comfy fleece robes for winter and cotton ones for summer. Temps will probably set at 65-67 day and 60 nites this coming heating season. Naked plus the robes for modesty and we're comfortable.

The New York Nudes 1000 Islands NY
Gillybean Posted: Mar 11, 2010	Just south of the Islands, on the east shore of Lk. Ontario is Southwick Beach State Park and the Lakeshore Wildlands Management Area. It is not too far (maybe 15 minutes) off I-81. If you park your vehicle at Southwick and hike south along the natural beach in to the dunes area, well, let's just say the farther down the beach...the fewer clothes anyone is wearing...the dunes have nice boardwalks and some trails back into Sandy Pond park as well. I have beach-hiked naked from about a mile south of the Southwick lots, and explored some of the dune trails sans clothing as well. This is not an "official" nude beach/locale but the few rangers that come that way have never given anyone grief (or tickets) to my knowledge. Currently, I have a duplex in an under-insulated victorian house, so nude or not, the temps have to be set higher...At least, with utilities on a budget plan, the bill is set at $156 a month. If the new roomie proves not to be a nudist, well, I guess it will be 66 daytime and 60 at night.

But I figure starting the nude social times to build the comfort level may make them more amenable for next summer. The beach is beautiful, but I hate going alone.

Gillybean Posted: Aug 12, 2009	I am currently fully digital with a Kodak z740, 5mp 10x optical etc...I can't have a darkroom in this apartment, so my 70's vintage Canon tLb and my 2 Canon AE1's are languishing on a shelf.
