| Hello, all my friends call me Andy. I have been a naturist since my early twenties. I was not active during the 30 years I was married and have enjoyed getting to know the new naturist movement. My ex-wife had no interest in being a nudist or knowing any. Years ago singles were banned from most clothing optional resorts. We could only get together in another nudist home (it was a plus if they had a fenced in yard and a pool). If you were lucky enough to have a female friend that was also a naturist, you had a chance of getting access to one of the resorts. Even then a lot of the resorts would not admit unmarried couples. I now live in North Florida where discrimination against single nudists still exist. Fortunately, nice single friendly resorts are just a couple of hours away. However when I attend a resort alone, I tend to be shunned and no one will talk to me (except for the swinger couples). I still enjoy the nice facilities that are now open to singles. I have met a couple of unattached female naturists in the area. We go to events together so that neither of us has to feel unwelcome. Luna has introduced me to the singles group out of Tampa. I look forward to attending some of their events. I and some of my naturist friends here in North Florida plan to take weekend road trips to the Tampa area whenever we can. Hopefully we will develop some good friendships with other singles. | |

| I have been a member of AANR for a good while. I joined to stay up on the activities of other naturists and governmental action to try to restrict our right to be nude. I have never been involved in the AANR inner politics, but it appears that the governing board believes sex and nudism have become mutually exclusive for naturists. I believe it is possible that people that go to traditional non-nudists resorts might think about, talk about, and have sex as well. Those that go to Paradise Lakes and Caliente are primarily adults who like fun adult entertainment but without the retraints of being clothed. The g-string event being put on by Penthouse doesn't involve public graphic sexual activity as far as I am aware. If there are children at Paradise Lakes during the event, I don't think they would see anything different from what they have seen already. Unless, for the sake of arguement, its would be the beauty of the contestants that is objectionable. I am a private person as are most nudist when it come to sex. I have never seen couples going at it in the public areas or around children at Paradise Lakes. I haven't been to Caliente yet, but I am sure decorum is observed there as well. What consenting adults (whether nudists or not)think, talk about, and do in private is only their concern. It really doesn't matter to me if Caliente or Paradise Lakes are AANR affiliated clubs because I like going mainly because there are very few children. At my age, I prefer the peace and quiet of even a non-nude resort or beach when there is not a lot of screamming/crying/rude kids around (and of course the mothers screaming at their misbehaving kids). Going to the Disney resorts has always been pure torture for me. Now that I know AANR slant on nudism, I will make it a point to look for the resorts that are not affiliated with the organization. At least I know I will have a quiet restful time with fun open minded people. | |

| I am glad that I live in Florida and that the commercial clothing optional resorts have a lot of special events for singles. I was once interested in a local naturist club in North Florida but was treated like I had the plague because I was not part of a married couple. I was told that unfortunately they had exceeded their quota of single men (even though I never met another single man at their meet and greets). I was also turned off by how clicky the members were anyway. I have been lucky to meet and date several women who are naturists. They tell me that if it wasn't for me, they would also miss out on going to the resorts and participating in other nude events. The married women tend to see my female friends as a threat to their marriage. I guess the married couples see me and other single guys as disease ridden perverts. Generally, I and my other single naturists friends have little interest in getting to know such closed minded and opinionated people. Sorry to be so negative, but I feel better when I vent about morally superior naturist couples. Glad to finally find a group of nude singles. | |
