fiesco Posted: May 24, 2013	Surgery - Don't know yet. Cortisone shot a month and a half ago helped greatly though in the last week I've had some spasming. The doc may inject cortisone in a different spot to see what happens. If I need surgery I suspect it may be Sept. or so. Doing Lat pulldowns and machine row exercises though at lower weights. On the horiz leg press I'm doing 500 lbs of calf raises and 470 on leg presses.

fiesco Posted: May 21, 2013	Fire - The volleyball courts are about 75-100 yds to the right of the stairway directly under the gliderport takeoff area. There are poles that when set with nets count 4 or 6, don't remember which. The nude section also goes to the left about 100 yds to the raised dune that the lifeguards use for their truck. If you go on a weekend, there shuld be zero problems because the weekends have a high number of people. If you stay near the courts, the Bares and others will look out for the Bizzaros. The V Courts is where the majority of families hang out. I've been 5 times in the last couple of months and haven't seen a problem. Send me an email when you decide to go. fiesco Posted: May 13, 2013	Iron - Found I have a bone spur growing near the new joint, but cortisone shot helped. The doctors want to be conservative and so far the pain has gone way down. Started swimming 2 weeks ago - up to 1700 yds each day. Also added curls with resistance tubes to right hand at 25 lbs. Lat pull downs at 125. So far no pain on joint. Doc says bench press may late July or early August.

This happened in a period of 5 min. For her she may have had body image concerns, but from her appearance in a dress or pants and top, she had a gorgeous figure. But actual appearance and mental image can be 2 different things. Your second paragraph is spot on. With communication at least an acceptance by others of my desire to nude is possible. This has happened from talks with my daughter and my ex wife. My ex has terrible body image problems, but says that what I do is my decision and that's okay. Religious beliefs can well be a reason for the problem, but not always. Each person in God's eyes is an independent soul who will be judged one on one. Another person cannot be responsible for you. But discussions of each person's beliefs is important and crucial for the relationship as a whole. One person cannot force their beliefs on another. I'm not sure that I've explained my thoughts well as I responded quickly.

The best things is to talkk to your neighbors and get their okay that they won't be offended by nudity in your own backyard. I did that 6 months ago and have been able to enjoy my entire yard, sunning, gardening etc. Even talked with my neighbor one while nude doing yard cleanup.

We also have to wear bald caps-Yuck and hot. My face usually feels cold, even in hot weather for about a week. I use Eucerin on my face for about a week to moisturize it.

fiesco Posted: Mar 21, 2013	Between now and April 20th (Opening of the last opera for the season) I'm busy every evening and weekend because of "Murder in the Cathedral" and "Aida." I'm having lots of pain and stiffness in my thumb which has limited some of my workout. My trainer is working around that and I'm still getting benefit but not for the chest and right arm directly. Will see my surgeon in a week to see why pain seems to be getting worse.

Seated Leg Press: 465 lbs over 2 min 5 sec. Will go up 2 1/2 Lbs tomorrow Calf raises, same machine, same weight Bicep: 50 lb flex tube 2 min at 30 deg, 1 min at 45 deg 1 min at complete flexion with 10 sec of negative before each change plus whatever added time I can manage. Adduction 245 for 1 min 20 sec, abduction at 162 for 1 min 12 sec. Abs: 3 minutes total with 35 lb plate for obliques and abs. Leg curls 165 for 1 min 25 sec. Lat Pulldown 3 min at 125 lbs (Starting to get back to 165 prior to hand surgery)

fiesco Posted: Mar 5, 2013	I agree. Blacks is one of the best beaches in the country. The sand is almost like talcum powder, so soft and comfortable. During the summer on the weekends it's common to find 2-3000 people. But the beach is about 2 miles long and accommodates the people easily. I can't think of a time that people have been closer than 20 feet. I'm 70 but the climb, though tough, in no way will stop me from spending glorious time in the sun.

I don't think specifically of it being aimed at a woman only. If I get to a door before others I will hold the door for anyone, male or female. It shows respect for their humanity.

fiesco Posted: Feb 22, 2013	FireProf - I had a 66 Chevelle SS 396 also with the Powerslush trans.(my ex-wife refused to learn to drive a manual). Had it for about 2 years, then it was stolen. Got a 68 Pontiac GTO with Hydro-great car. That was the last of the really nice muscle cars. Near the end of my career, I bought a 2003 G-35 as a retirement present, in 2009 bought a G37-S. I probably keep it til I can't drive any longer.

Around 1969 I owned a '57 Chevrolet 2 dr coupe, 327, 4 spd. As a teacher I did not have much money and the fact that I need to replace the front end suspension system forced me to sell. What a great investment it could have been.

fiesco Posted: Dec 4, 2012	Iron - Finding that doing the very light weights and weakest of bands if done at very slow speeds (1-15 sec on pos and 10-15 sec on negative) is fatiguing the bis and tris and am seeing results on my right arm. Left arm - I'm able to use a 50 lb flextube with handle and hold at 30 deg for 2 min. 30 sec move up to 50 deg for 1 min 20 sec and full contraction for 40-50 sec for a total hold of 4 min and 40-45 sec. The super slow is very effective and doesn't cause aches and pain the next day.

But doctor says that I have to wait until January for Masters swimming and maybe mid March for use of hand for bench press curls, tri's, Lat pulldowns etc. Physical therapist is working curls and tri' but VERY light weights (2-4 lbs). The idea is to strengthen but not to push it.

fiesco Posted: Nov 5, 2012	It's 80 deg at 11:00 and heading up. I just walked in from pruning off old dead rose flowers and tidying the roses in the back yard. The warm air felt invigorating and relaxing at the same time. I wish I could do the same thing nude in the front yard, but alas I can't. I have to go out to fax some things in for my Re-fi, but afterwords I want to get in 4-5 hours of sun. This weekend in San Diego is supposed to be cold (60s) and rainy so I want to get as much sun in now as possible. Late December I will begin the heavy pruning for my roses. Though in S.D. they never go dormant, but the shock does them well for the next season.

Weight Training and Fitness Time to start something new..
fiesco Posted: Oct 1, 2012	I had the thumb surgery 2 weeks ago Friday, 1st cast was removed last week and a new hard cast placed on it a week ago. 2 weeks to go for its removal, then 2-3 months physical therapy. Maybe in a year or two, I'll get the left thumb fixed. Now that I've been through it, I find it not to be a big deal. I've continued my Perfect Workout routine with my trainer, I just can't do that involved the use of both hands. So exercises for chest, arms, lats, delts etc are out. With a 40 lb tube I'm doing curls with my left arm. It was a little smaller so it's balancing out. BUT it'll be 2-3 months before I can do upper body work. Swimming is another month or so off.

fiesco Posted: Sep 9, 2012	Emz: 2 things, your photo collection is amazing as is your story. I started four years ago, late in life. I started a weight loss program with Medifast. During my first session with the Medifast counselor, she asked me what I wanted as a treat when I would reach my goal weight. I had no idea. At the end of the session she asked me again. I spit out that with the weight loss I would be comfortable going to a nudist "ranch." (What did I know?). Three months later I hit my goal. She asked if I had done the nudist "thing." I completely had forgotten, probably on purpose. So I googled San Diego nudist resorts. I called DeAnza Springs and drove out. Five times I almost took the offramps to go back home. When I got there I had a great tour of the grounds. So I go out to the car and then the time came that I had to drop the shorts. Wow!. There was a p/u next to me with a couple and their two kids fully undressed. So maybe I can do this. Just as I dropped my shorts a lady came up behind me, nude and got into her car. I got everything off and walked out to the pool. Within 2 minutes I totally felt comfortable, the sun and breeze was so relaxing. How could I have gone 65 years without ever trying this? Now I'm a member of Glen Eden Sun Club and love it.

fiesco Posted: Aug 25, 2012	Cheri - You are absolutely right in terms of education. I am a conservative traditional Catholic since I was baptized. Nudism is fairly new to me (4 years). If one reads Pope John Paul's encyclical, Humanae Vitae, he writes that nudity in and of itself is not lewd, dirty or sinful. It's the beauty of God's creation. If we become lustful then it's a different story. But that is not we are about. I have spoken with my pastor about it and he concurs. So it gets down to people not knowing their faith and the bible. We may have learned our doubts from people who themselves have misunderstandings, lack of knowledge etc.

The Quinnipiac University’s Swing State Poll and Pew Research Center Poll were Likely voters, but heavily skewed toward Democrats (11% to the actual 2-3 %). I think the election will be a runaway for Romney also.

I logged out and was able to make a transfer from a picture from the Search site. So anyone from the "outside" can copy a picture. Granted it is not a large size picture, but one who knows how to play with Photoshop or other software could overcome that.

You're tight, there was a good mixture of nudes (me) and textiles. Some of the participants told me that they were nudists and spend some time at G.E., but were dressed for the show. Correct me but I think maybe 30-40% of the viewers were nude. Some of the women had pareos around the waist, but were unclad above. Those of you who have never attended the G.E. car show should plan for it next year. It had some magnificent cars.

I strongly recommend that you get on their site (www.theperfectworkout.com) and read through the pages of info on slow motion training. Check to see if you can get a free get to know you session. The regular sessions are only 20 minutes 2 days per week. When you complete one exercise, you're done with that exercise: no second, third or fourth set which fits your desire to get the lift over and done with. If you're down in San Diego on a Monday or Thursday, I can bring you to one of my workouts. An anomaly on an EKG has set me back on the surgery. Once surgery is done I will be able to continue working out my abs and legs, but that's it. I have to have both hands available for chest, shoulders and arms.

About 3-4 weeks before I have to stop for a couple of months due to thumb surgery.

This a coached program for beginners through people who swam competitively. I had no background other than learning how to swim as a kid. Whatever your skill and conditioning level the coach takes you step by step, lap by lap slowly building you up. For me it took 5-6 months for conditioning to equal the rest of the people, it was quite easy. I googled masters swim programs in Temecula. There are a number of programs available. My program in San Diego is inexpensive: $35 per month for Scripps Ranch residents and $45 for non residents. Give it a shot, you may love it.

fiesco Posted: May 17, 2012	I've been doing super slow motion workouts for the past 4 years; 9 exercises per day with in 25 minute session. The entire body is worked to complete exhaustion under the guidance of a trainer two days per week. Far better results than the 5-6 day program working 2 hours each day. My only problem is that in 2 weeks I will have thumb surgery with a polycarbon replacement joint. I won't be able to do do any exercise that involves the use of my hands, abs and legs are fine. My trainer is trying to come up with a way to still work arms and chest, but ?

Two days a week a trainer works me out in an ultra slow method of weight lifting which has given me phenomenal results AND it only takes 25 minutes each day. fiesco Posted: Mar 7, 2012	Rush's Transcript: Clearing Up Misinformation on Our Sponsors March 07, 2012 All Audio & Video » BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I want to ask if you will indulge me for just a brief few minutes for some inside baseball stuff before we move on to our review of the issues of the day, politics and so forth, Super Tuesday, the results, and where we are. The reason for this is, once again, so much misinformation about this program and advertisers is in the mainstream media. People are reporting things that, A, are not true, and B, I don't even think the people reporting it have the slightest idea what they're talking about, nor do they have the ability to understand it. But I know that many of you are spending a lot of time -- God bless you -- on the Web doing what you can to express your support for the program. And judging from the reaction of my own brother, who sends me a note last night, "You really lost 28 sponsors?" No, we have not lost 28 sponsors. "Well, how can they say it?" Because they lie and because they don't understand how it works, and that's what I want to try and explain. In fact, folks, we have three brand-new sponsors that will be starting in the next two weeks. Now, obviously, I'm not gonna tell you who they are today, but we've got three brand-new, full-fledged sponsors starting in the next two weeks. Two of the sponsors who have canceled have asked to return. We are being very careful about that. Not gonna give you any names here. One of them is practically begging to come back. Everything is fine on the business side. Everything's cool. There is not a thing to worry about. What you're seeing on television about this program and sponsors and advertisers is just incorrect. And let me try to explain how this works. Let's take the claim that we've lost 28 sponsors. Sponsors on this program are both local and national. We deal with the national sponsors on this program. We have 600-plus stations. They sell their own commercials. We don't have anything to do with those sponsors. We don't get paid by those sponsors. We have no idea who those sponsors are. Let's make up a company, ABC Widget Company. And let's say that ABC Widget Company says, "We are no longer going to appear on the Rush Limbaugh Show." Well, ABC Widget Company isn't on the Rush Limbaugh Show. What happens is, advertising agencies order advertising buys on a series of local stations from market to market to market. A controversy like this erupts. They put out a notice to the stations, "By the way, for the time being we don't want our commercials run when Limbaugh is on." But they are not canceling their advertising on the station. They're just saying they don't want it running on my program during the local affiliate's commercial time, not ours. So this 28 or 32 -- and I don't even know if that number's accurate, numbers are coming from Media Matters. There's no way anybody could know this, but I'm gonna put it in further perspective in just a second. What it means is there have been -- let's use the number 28 -- 28 advertisers who none of us are aware are even advertising on our local stations who had sent out orders that their commercials are not to run on my program. But that is not revenue to us. They are not our sponsors. They are not even canceling their advertising on the local station. They're just saying for the time being they don't want it run from noon to three. And let me tell you, this happens every day. It's been happening for 23-plus years. And it's not just to me. There are clients, advertisers, that tell stations, "I don't want this to run in Beck's show. I don't want it to run in Hannity's. I don't want it to run in Howard Stern's." It's all part of the business. But because there's a focal point on this in trying to dispirit you and trying to present a picture of this program that doesn't exist and that's untrue, they're trying to make it sound like this is unprecedented -- that it's never happened before, it's at an all-time high -- and it simply isn't the case. We have not lost 28 national sponsors. There are not 28 advertisers who were paying us who aren't anymore. They are local commercial buys. Many of them may not even be running in my show to begin with. The advertisers are just saying, "If they are, pull 'em. We don't want 'em in there for now," but they're staying on the local stations. These advertisers are not abandoning EIB affiliates. Nobody is losing money here, including us, in all this. And that is key for you to understand. They are not canceling the business on our stations. They're just saying they don't want their spots to appear in my show. We don't get any revenue from 'em anyway. The whole effort is to dispirit you. It's to make you think the left is being successful in its campaign when it isn't. In fact, the left is so fed up, they can't see straight. They thought they had me. They thought I would be off the air by now. They can't understand why I still am on the air. There is also another rumor going around that I am going to be suspended for a week. It is utter BS. I would have to suspend myself! Now, let me put this in further perspective for you, this number of 28 or 32, and then we're gonna move on to other things. Sponsors of our program are both nationwide companies, like Two If By Tea (my tea company), and local companies, like "Mike's Auto Body Repair" or a local bank. If we added up all of our affiliates (let's choose the number 600) and we assumed that each of those affiliates had 30 such sponsors in the course of our three-hour program, there might be -- all across this country -- as many as 18,000 different sponsors of this program. Let me put it another way: There might be 18,000 different people buying advertising within this program alone. That is a conservative number: 600 stations, 18 commercial minutes an hour. We take whatever we take to sell ourselves and the local station keeps the rest. They have local advertisers. You add up all those over the course of 600 stations, over three hours a day, five days a week, and we're talking 18,000 different sponsors, okay? ABC News, who understands how this works and are purposely misrepresenting it, is out there ballyhooing that we have lost 28 sponsors. Twenty-eight sponsors out of 18,000! That's like losing a couple of french fries in the container when it's delivered to you at the drive-thru. You don't even notice it. If we lose 28 of those sponsors, the majority of them being in one city or another out of 18 thousand, it's a sad occurrence. But, folks, I would venture to say that this happens every day anyway in the course of doing business. Advertisers come and go. New businesses start up; they start advertising. Some businesses go under, they stop their advertising. None of what's happening is out of the ordinary. It's just part of an onslaught to try to convince you that this show's history and our days are numbered. And I'm happy to tell you nothing could be further from the truth. The point is we have tens of thousands of companies who advertise in this program. We're appreciative of all of them. The vast majority, we don't even know. They are local sponsors. As I say, we're going to be debuting three (and maybe more) new sponsors in the coming days and weeks. And I'm sure that our affiliate stations are going to be replacing advertisers with new ones. It's the cycle. Nothing stays the same. It's all dynamic; nothing is static. All you need to know is there are no losses. There is only growth. There are only gains; we're moving forward. There is good in everything that happens. You look for it, you find it, you build on it, and you expand it. They have not taken this program out. They have not taken me out. They're the ones who are frustrated. They're the ones who are angry. They're the ones who are gonna be blowing gaskets in the next couple of weeks. I hope I've made this clear. It's such inside baseball stuff, but 28 sponsors -- 32, whatever number they're using -- that have been lost, are not direct advertisers here. And they may not even be advertising within my three hours on the stations they're running. It's impossible to know. Now, you might say, "Well, whatever it is, these people are putting out statements." Yes, they're putting out statements because they're hoping to make political gains -- and it's gonna backfire. You can look at the stock price of some of these companies. I'm not gonna say any more, but it's going to backfire. So you have a bank say (pompously), "We are announcing today that none of our commercials will ever again run on the Rush Limbaugh Show." They're not a sponsor of ours, folks. They may buy sponsorships on 10 or 15 of our affiliates around country, but they're not sure they're being inserted in my three hours; they want to make sure they're not. I contend much of what is "taught" depends on the administration and the culture of the staff. The teachers at my last school set high standards for their students for each of their students. I have been at other schools where the students. "ran" the school. The teachers followed the union contract to the letter, spent little time tutoring students. When their contract day was over you had better not be standing in front of their cars. The performance of each school was quite different.

fiesco Posted: Feb 22, 2012	I recently found that my testosterone level was in the very low normal. Mt doctor prescribed monthly shots of 600mg plus vitamin D3 of 5000 mg and 50mg of DHEA. My weight training involves ultra slow motion work with a trainer. I've done this for 3 1/2 years and have had no injuries of any kind. Google slow motion training and try some of your routines in slow motion. For example for a bicep curl, on the positive side take at least 10-15 sec. to bring dumbbell up and same amount of time to complete the negative. You will quickly reach complete muscle exhaustion. No need to do a 2nd or 3rd set. Go to next exercise. Another bicep exercise: Use an exercise tube with handle, spread feet at least shoulder width on tube, pull handles up to 30 deg, hold for 30 sec, continue to 45 deg for 30 sec then to 90 deg for 45 sec, 120 deg for 30 sec and full contraction for 15 sec. then 30 sec to lower band to 30 deg. I guarantee your arms will shake mightily. If you have enough strength, start the routine without stopping.

I've helped 2 friends join the lifestyle and discovered that a work friend and her husband are nudists. I am now a gold member at Glen Eden. I hope to meet FP there sometime.

Each year I have grown to enjoy it more, the positive feelings about myself, the value of the vitamin D gained from the abundant sun in San Diego (My aging specialist approves of it), the wonderful feelings of sun and breeze over my body, the lack of constiction from clothing, etc. My family knows that I'm a nudist, friends know, I have mentioned it to members of my masters swim group to no negative comments. I like it, enjoy it and will remain so.

I've helped two ladies make the transmission to going to resorts and another has no problem with me pursuing it. As a teenager (1957-1960) I teamed with a friend working on his '32 Ford 3 window coupe, running a 450" bored and stroke '54 Chrysler Hemi, roller tappet cam, Hilborn fuel injection, Gmy 671 supercharger. 1/4 mile speed, 127, et 11.8. {rpblem then was 6" slicks, couldn't get bigger. I remember watching Tommie Ivo and the Snake Prudomme racing at San Fernando Race Track and Long Beach Dragstrip. Great memories.

I finely said, "If I lose the weight, I'll go to a nudist resort. Well I lost it and went to DeAnza Springs in Jucumba, CA. I went by myself and almost turned around 5 times on the way out. I ended up loving it. I've joined Glen Eden Resort, go often to DeAnza and Blacks Beach. I helped a lady friend go to her first social nudism at G.E.

I often go to Blacks Beach and I am a member of Glen Eden in Corona, CA. I have found the folks that I've met at all three places have all been warm and accepting individuals. I joined Camping Bares and a small group in Alpine. Why didn't I try this decades ago? Now it doesn't matter, I'm enjoying it.

I chose the surgeon used by the Chargers at the time. 20 years later techniques and equipment are so superior to what was available in the past. I would select a team doctor or a teaching hospital doctor who has done many such surgeries and teaches others the latest techniques.

Have the lattice side out and the canvas side in for appearance. The lattices generally are redwood so the appearance is nice.

I googled a number of resorts in southern California to get a feel for the different resorts and to find ones that would be inviting and supportive of a newby single male. I think every first timer should check out the websites of every possibility. As far as single women, I think the vast majority of single men are interested in what a resort offers, pool, spa, gym, friendship, a place to relax, read, nap...If I were to meet a single female that would be nice, but not the =rimary reason for being there.

fiesco Posted: Aug 17, 2010	A Method for Privacy. If you have a patio cover but it is open for neighbors to see preventing you from being nude in your backyard, try this. It isn't particularly expensive. 1. But whatever number of 4X8' privacy lattice sheets along with 1" wood edging to support the lattice. 2. Buy several canvas paint tarps that are 4X8or 4X15 (3'9"X14'9") in size. 3. Staple the tarp to one side of the lattice. For neatness don't cut the edges of the tarp to fit, just fold over and staple. The only cut end would be cutting the 4X15' piece. Simply fold the end over and staple. 4. Hang, nail, screw or use bungee cords to attach to the patio cover. 5. Because the lattice is redwood, the appearance is nice. One could use red or black tarps. I just finished mine, looks great, can't be seen through 2nd floor windows, can still get gobs of sun from west facing patio opening.

fiesco Posted: Apr 21, 2010	Abs: Lie on a mat on your back with legs bent at a 45 deg. angle. Sit up tall with arms straight out if front. Lean back at a 25 degree angle for one minute, the back at a 75 degree angle for 30 sec. and finally back at a 99 deg. mark where your feet are just beginning to leave the floor. Hold for another 30 sec. Some may need to start with shorter amounts of time at each section. Another would be to sit on a weight bench and lock your feet under a support. Cross your arms in front of you. Lean back to a 30 or 60 degree angle and turn to your left, hold for 30 seconds, twist to your right, hold for 30 seconds, twist to center straight for 30 seconds.

For example on a leg press, take 8-10 seconds on the positive and then 8-10 seconds on the negative until you reach complete fatigue (Thighs screaming, can't complete repetition). Use at least a third less weight. Work up to a total of 1 1/2 - 2 minutes to failure. Try that with all of your exercises. You will only need to one set.

fiesco Posted: Feb 23, 2010	I go 2 days per week - Monday and Thursday from 8:30-8:55. Yes that's all of the time. The program is part of the ThePerfectWorkout.com program. All sessions involve the same trainer with each session being different, but covering all body areas. Each exercise involves a 10 second positive and a 10 second negative push/pull with a 1-2 second hold at each turnaround. Nautilus machines and free weights are used. Three days per week I also swim in a coached Masters Swim Program, usually swimming a mile and a half each day.

I have grown in strength and definition faster than at any time in my younger years. The great thing is that I go in 2 days per week for 25 minutes each. To this point in the book she has been elected as Governor. I'm impressed with the woman. Time will tell as to whether she is presidential material.
